In past expansions, it wasn’t that hard to get decent gear as a casual, which gave better opportunities at pugging normals and such. But nowadays, it’s like devs are happy to create barriers for casuals then proceed to complain that not many are bothering to try Normal and above.

I can’t even get invited on my alt Shaman for a Mythic 0 lol, most of these kids want carries man.
I’m pretty sure you can do a mythic 0 in 230 ilevel even if it drops 260

You need to get your double legendary op, people will look at stuff like that as a red flag to not invite somebody. 245 is fine and should get you invited, specially if you are a healer or range dps, just keep trying.

Yes. I do this when I want Balance gear…loot tables are that bad. 
Lets be honest a second OP. You are a 247 ilvl tank with just the base unity legendary, no set armor and no experience in normal CN at all. Put yourself in a raid leaders shoes and ask yourself if you would honestly invite yourself to tank your raid.

Why stop at normal then, shot for the moon and go for mythic! You have to realistic with your expectations. Hell the current LFR raid is like 20 ilvs above the OP. There are plenty of upgrade options for him before he should even be thinking of doing a normal CN. I mean he is wearing just the unity legendary and doesn’t even have a single set piece yet.

But GD told us that Normal is a cakewalk and not to worry and just pug it.
It’s not like we’ve seen this since WotLK with gearscore where you need to outgear the content for pugs.

It is easy but that assume you are at least geared to around the correct point. I mean what next, do you think someone in leveling greens should get into it as well?

Yeah OP should have been prepared with gear to PUG normal between Friday, when they announced that Normal and above would be required to get the mount, and today.

This is something we’re going to see a lot of. Players being denied invites to raid groups when all they want to do is get the slime cat. It’s a damn shame, because this was a 100% avoidable pitfall that Blizzard could have stepped around by making the cat available via LFR, but they chose to ignore people and now we’re here.
Hopefully they see what’s happening, realize how big of a mistake they made, and make a correction. Either way I’m not even going to try to get the cat out of protest. If I miss out, I miss out, but I’m not going to jump through hoops because Blizzard refused to listen.
