Who said they were our friends? Who are the two of you talking to? They are a business. We are customers. Telling customers, “shut up and eat it because you agreed to it” is probably the funniest business model one can have. It fails but it’s funny.
CRZ. And when the 15th anniversary comes, and they’re begging people to come back with free 100 boosts, coupled with that perspective of them “not being friends” will solidify just where retail is at.
You might not have any ulterior motives, simply wanting to transfer to reunite with your friends, but most others do. If blizz squad opened up free transfers to any server, everyone would hop to the 2nd most populated realm over and over again because that 2nd realm would become full as quick as it became available.
So move there so they aren’t. I’m failing to understand. Every body who rolled on new servers when they were opened after launch technically rolled on “dead” servers. But now they aren’t. Heartseeker won’t be dead. It may take time to beat the stubbornness out of some of you, but the longer they let it go the more likely you are to take the transfer. Once you do, you’ll ask yourself why you didn’t just do it earlier.
Lol you do realize how broken that ‘crystal ball’ argument is don’t you? What you are proposing aren’t facts and don’t waste a reply trying to argue they are because it is pointless and you know this. You hypothesizing that the realm will be dead is just as baseless as someone thinking it will be full. Did you also assume that classic wow would have 1 million concurrent twitch views the first day? The only thing i saw over and over before this game came out was that classic wow sucks and everyone who likes it is delusional. No one here is qualified to forecast any outcome of this game’s future.
As long as people are willing to wait in 8 hour servers to play with streamers, even if they increase the server capacity more people will swap to it and queues will reach 8 hours again.
Supply and demand, what people are willing to put up with
I just joined Earthfury to see what all the complaining is about and it’s actually quite full. Create a character before you transfer if you are worried and check it. I am sure this applies to Heartseeker and the other one new one as well. But check for yourself. I figured it was time to provide useful information instead of everyone just arguing.
Blizzard wasn’t exaggerating that the the new labels are night and day compared to original launch. This “low pop” realm has every zone I could think to type in full of people. I created a Horde character, Tirisfal, Orgimmar, were all capped and couldn’t show everyone. Okay. Easy. Thunder Bluff was 40. Thousand Needles capped and couldn’t show everyone. Same with Stranglethorn. It looks like a lot of the people transferring were in those mid level ranges. You might have issues if you transfer a 50+ character until some more transfer but you are way ahead of the curve in levels so it can be expected. Tanaris has 28 people.
Like I said it starts to slow down getting into the 50s but lets be honest if you are in your 50s already, you were ahead of the curve almost anywhere. There are currently 2 parties in Zul’farrak, 1 in BRD, and all the other dungeons I typed in had at least one with many more groups as you got lower level. These “problems” at high level are really temporary because people are catching up and still deciding to transfer.
If you see this, Earthfury at least is going to end up healthy, especially if some more people get out of the queue. I imagine the other ones will have similar numbers. Low pop realms are MUCH LARGER than retail launch low pop realms and Blizzard has stressed this repeatedly since switching from the relative labels to absolute. And I imagine Earthfury at least will be medium by tomorrow with long term if people read THIS instead of the OP, maybe even high pop…though based on these low pop numbers, even medium is going to be super crowded at a single layer.
The transfers haven’t been going that long. Once more people in the low 50s transfer or a few people catch up those levels will be fuller. Though they aren’t empty even now. Convince your friends to try it and create a character first to verify my story. Get out of the 8 hour queues and don’t give this person the satisfaction of trying to scaremonger people.
This entire post was just outrage over nothing just like I thought and trying to convince people that it would be dead and not to go because they personally want a transfer to another server. Please ignore.
You were warned before the game was officially released and you didnt listen. Your fault.
Blizzard makes free transfers to new realms and your crying about it. FFS.
I rolled to Kromcrush because of the warning. Sometimes it is low pop, but on peak hours there is a 2-4k q depending. Its tolerable, but I listened. If Blizzard let people transfer to my realm you would be in the same boat and complaining still.
Some people cannot be pleased. Just do everyone a favor and throw a fit and unsub if thats the plan.
I was trying to help get you off the pot, but it looks like you just want to sit there. Your FOMO attitude is going to ruin your experience, but it looks like you’re dead set on ruining it.
rufuses to take a free server transfer to get rid of queue times proceeds to complain that there are long queue times and something needs to be done to fix them
If all of you people would stop being stubborn and switch servers the new server would get a healthy population and your queue problem would be solved. At this point your problems are literally your own doing.
Captain Obvious would like to point out that you didn’t read the entire post. I addressed your concerns with daily updated census data. If you can’t make a decision like that all by yourself you come let me know. I’ll hold your hand through it.
If all that doesn’t work you can pay to go where ever you like.
