Nobody is playing Evoker. I think it's because Dracthyr and restricted transmogs

.

I think it’s mainly because the spec itself is boring

THANK YOU!! The male form should be large and buff, not some anorexic lizard.

Such a yuge wall. Dracthyr are at a heslthy population level.

The dracthyr have just an outright terrible looking human form and the mounts are the worst looking mounts in the game by far. But everything about the dragons looks cool

I leveled an evoker with the intention of playing it but i find the 25yd range of the class to be so incredibly debilitating that I just couldnt do it. I can’t think of anything less fun than a caster that has to essentially sit in melee range.

Also, I really don’t like how virtually every ability they have minus living flame has an excessively long CD attached to it. Its just really not that fun mechanically. The appearance and the lack of being able to truly pick your visage form just seals the deal.

Giving us a thousand ways to customize the humanoid form of dracthyr doesn’t mean anything if you don’t like the base form, and the base form just ain’t that great. It’s like if a human and a blood elf had a really uggo baby (which genetically seems like that should be literally impossible, a human/belf baby would be the real world equivalent of a supermodel, or even beyond that) and then it grew up to be a dracthyr with a gnarly skin condition.

To your credit, your AR should’ve been a customization option, like dark rangers are for elves.

Before 10.1 Preservation Evoker was my main. Now its Resto Shaman. With Discipline priest as secondary. Evoker is still excellent. I just like to enjoy more different styles of healing in the game. It was a bit too stressful with spikey damage with Evoker. Now I can use in between pulls to set up for damage. I still play Preservation Evoker once a week.

I don’t agree. My customized Preservation Evoker I think looks the best of all my characters.

So why isn’t Monk popular?

This pretty much. Full transmog and additional visage races to choose from would be nice but aren’t make or break for me. I do wish we had full dragon-riding capabilities as it kind of feels like my wings are just for show with the racial we got for them. There is no reason npcs should be able to have full use of their wings while we get a severely neutered version.

Preservation Evoker low range is a challenge at the beginning until you learn. After I played a few dungeons i got used to using the excellent movement to be better positioned. The low range is worth the powerful fast group healing.

I would love to soar freely instead of having to hop on another dragon because my wings apparently won’t work… really ruins the fantasy when you see a bunch of dracthyr fly off and you need to get on your mount to be able to do that. I got to ride with the other dracthyr in the intro experience and it was so cool.

I would say I definitely “main” evoker right now, I quite enjoy my character. I tend to see evoker healers in quite a few of my m+ groups, and I don’t raid too too often or even really notice the presence of other dracthyr. Usually one or two. Now paladins, there’s soooo many of those.

Thats fine. When I write about the look of a wow race. Its just my opinion.

Hello, I’m nobody

New race and new class. Naturally many built one just to try them out. Now when they are done trying them out only those that actually got hooked on them continue. As a result, you see less of them.

Yes, disabilities suck. We just have to live with them for now.

I love the way my evoker looks; that has nothing to do with why I am not playing it.

I am not playing it because it feels clunky and I don’t like what they’ve done to the healing spec. Healing in PuGs feels absolutely atrocious. People constantly range my or are spread out to the point my directional heals are incapable of hitting the entire group. Single Target healing sustain in pressure situations is terrible. They’re squishy.

I want to play my evoker more; I want to like my evoker more, I just can’t bring myself to do it. Maybe I will play more when Augmentation releases, because from the testing I’ve done with it so far I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. But, as of right now in its current state, I just can’t bring myself to do it when my other healing classes can perform better with less stress involved.

This data doesn’t really say much. It’s a brand new class. Even with the initial rush of people trying it out, you have way more players for each of the other classes as you come into the expansion so it will never be an apples to apples comparison right after their launch. Evokers are all over the place in meta content right now.

I’ve seen the healer Evokers several times in LFR, but the DPS, not so much.
Not sure if it’s the transmog limitations or just it’s playstyle. For me, it’s the range restriction that I don’t like.
