Maybe you should, too.

Nobody is playing Evoker.
proceeds to show that clearly people are playing Evoker
Kind of why I avoid one. The core appearance is pretty bland/weird. You look like a mob rather than a PC in combat. The human appearances are… equally bad. For some reason despite all the bells and whistles I never made a character I thought looked cool in either form.
It feels like being stuck in Moonkin or Shadow form - but worse.
Yet the same website you cited as a source puts druid as 2nd, and druid has 2 specs that can’t see transmog at all either and another one that requires a glyph to see it.
Just saying your premise of transmog is false.
No, they are just a fugly race.
Like the dragon forms look horrible, and were litearlly designed by someone who was a scaly in second life and more or less ripped the models from it, and even has a bunch of pornographic art of their characters.
Then they decided to make them androginous for some reason stupid like “Well lizards in real life dont have breasts so we did not give them breasts.” Ignoring that this game is not real life.
Then their visage form look just down right AWFUL. Every single one of them have all this random jewlery and scales and bizzar looking features that every other dragon does not have a problem with dealing with when they change.
Like, sorry but they look half baked and half finished and them not being able to use half their transmog is just blizzard trying to sell you a broken aspect of the game as a feature.
I love dragonflight as an exp but the Dracthyr are a dumpster half finished race.
I don’t play my evoker much because it’s a mid ranged caster, and I just don’t care for that play style. I also would play her more if I could have a nelf visage form and not a high elf with too much botox.
4 out of the 5 evoker players we had in our raid groups switched back to their old classes for 10.1 after the novelty wore off. Reasons given were pretty much in line with yours, not counting #4.
Overall they just don’t match the playable dragon fantasy very well. Lack of a tank spec for the black dragonflight is a big one, but even smaller scale things like their fire breath are disappointing. Charging up so you can sneeze a short burst of fire at something will never feel as good as if you breathed fire for the full duration of the channeling. Empowered spells are a cool idea but I think it’s a poor fit for the fire breath.
I see a lot of people playing it. In fact, too many. That may be my selection bias but I know I won’t play them until they have transmogs.
I played my Evoker to 70 with some friends but now I don’t touch it much.
Mostly because now I am usually playing solo .
Agreed, I wish it were more like DH Eye beam, very short startup and does more damage the longer its on the target, it would end instantly if you moved or got stunned/knocked/feared tho.
I like Drakthyr, I just don’t like the way the abilities work for the class.
I see a lot of Evokers around…
When I do queued content I see a good number of them. I just came out of wing 2 of LFR and 3 of our healers were evokers, and there was me and 1 more devoker.
Transmog is definitely frustrating though. Every time someone links something and I try to see what it looks like I sigh because I forgot to switch back to visage.
They are probably the second most common class I see these days.
Points out something they more than likely made up to shame it, proceeds to complain not sexy enough.
they also look ridculous and their lore sucks they are treated as third rates in their own expansion and are jokes. cant even fly like a dragon lol
Confirmation bias.
When the third spec come out there will be even more evokers. I can see them being the top played class/race in the game. Nevermind how many are out now even though there are loads of them.
According to warcraftlogs website they’re actually around the middle of the pack when it comes to popularity in M+ and raids.
