Don’t worry, I’m sure their weird “support class” third spec will save them. Because this is EverQuest, the year is 1999 and support classes are a totally normal and viable thing to have that the game has definitely been built around.

Meanwhile raiderio has over 100k unique evoker keys recorded. That’s more than half the other classes. Move along.

I saw a guy on the forum creating threads on furries and dracthyr last week, I think is name was Holyshiite if I remember well
It would probably help if yeah they had more visage options, a bulkier frame, was able to dragonride without using the mount but instead using Soar like the NPC dracthyr do, and their legendary didn’t suck as it does not benefit the dracthyr but it benefits their teammates to the point the salty and toxic folk are going to start demanding you do as they tell you and yeah no that’s not cool

Erm the buff can def proc on the Evokers themselves.
And its not like PI, nobody can “demand” it, it just buffs a party member at random whenever you use an Empowered spell.

Definitely anecdotal. I see 3+ evokers in every raid.

Yeah, there’s no lack of Dracthyr anywhere. There’s almost always at least one within throwing distance at any given time.

Looked at all my keys at IO. Seems about half my runs had an evoker in it.
Not the best, but definitely better than a lot of classes.
All my keys had an Evoker too.

<3 this class, more mog options would be swell.
We need the option to toggle 2h weapons easily on/off. There’s also no reason we shouldn’t gain access to all transmog slots outside maybe feet?
I’d really like it if when we toggled visage form on, we’d never be mounted as a dragon. It looks so terrible.
And please, for the love of all, give us a glyph to let us appear hovering all the time. The run is awful.
There are other things, but for now this would help (a lot).

It’s all a matter of personal taste. I, for one, think they look great, though I do agree that they should get more transmog options.

i crap on the dracthyre and evokers alot for good reason and the transmog restriction is 1 of them but i gotta say between the leggo and the new spec being announced and whatever is going on this week but this week is the first time ive seen so many evokers anywhere. played mine last season got aotc and pugged 3/9m since most pugs dont go past that so its hard to find anything to go farther. also went 2k with keys but that was because i had no desire to go farther but between all that raiding and keys running i had maybe 1 evoker in a raid besids me max every few raids. but this week there all over the dam place. i did lfr tuesday and i had 4 of them and then normal after and had another 2 in there it was amazing.
I don’t play evoker so maybe I just won’t get it but if I dragon race was super wanted why is everyone asking to have visage form in combat or toggable? Like, you just want a belf that can be the evoker class?
I personally think the drakonid would have been the better option of a new race in dragon flight. Could have kept evoker if a new class was really wanted but also let them be other classes as well.
I don’t necessarily think the dracthyrs story is bad, it’s kind of interesting. That model tho…

Hardly stops there. The talent trees are a total mess. How the hell do you clog up the tree with upgrades to your racials, and badly needed movement utility for a “mid range caster” at the very bottom. The hell lol. Makes 0 sense. Why the hell is the “grip” spell pvp locked.
It just feels like the talent layout and placement is making me think of Bilbo talking about feeling like he’s not enough butter scraped over too much bread. So like Bilbo, I needed a holiday from evoker. A long holiday. And I don’t expect I shall return. In fact, I mean not to!
But other than that, the bugs are so damn bad. Some of which are cosmetic yes, and are extremely ugly and loathsome to look at. I mean we are playing a VIDEO game after all, despite Ion’s history as only seeing numbers while “developing” this game. But some are not cosmetic, and are horrible for combat or whatever you know. “Soaring” lol. And, cosmetic or not, they’re all just never addressed or squashed quick enough, or at all for the most part. It’s been some time now since they debuted, too.
Almost lastly, yes. It’s a mog issue. It’s bad. Like usually in games or cartoons, anthropomorphic animal people at least can wear glasses or a top hat or something you know. Or can wear a shirt. Neither of which are available in dracthyr form.
And as a personal issue, it feels pretty bad that a dragonkin model with boobs exists in the game. But the less centaurian looking one with 5 fingers and no 4 legged animations, the dracthyr, does not have boobs. Don’t kid yourselves, this is NOT an equality thing. This is a laziness thing. In doing so, they only had to bother making one model. If it was an equality thing, im sure they could simply seperate the forms enough to allow you to pick different genders for both forms. I mean, because of this laziness, and ongoing laziness towards fixing bugs because of the before mentioned general laziness, the outstanding bug of female dracthyr “randomly” having male voice lines, until some currently unknown event overrides it, is still bugged. It has been bugged from release.
Don’t get me started on the Soar failure. Not even a normal “static” flying mode akin to worgen’s running wild. SMH. What shame.
So yeah. Fantasy of being a dragon breathing fire on people is definitely a thing. The dracthyr? Are a sadly failed experiment imo, that could of been easily corrected but. Just probably won’t be. I see blizzard doubling down on their mistakes to try and increase hype that’s already kinda dead like not even 8 months into the expansion.
