Speaking of events, i loved Wildstar events. you could run it as much as you wanted and get all the items you wanted.
I wasn’t even aware that the Easter event had a boss lol
It’s new this year
It seems like 1%, since it’s not an instance, I’d assume every character as the same drop %.
This will make it easier for armies of alts but its really a bad approach for players with few characters for a limited time event, regardless of the reward, the fact that this kind of reward design persist in the WoW team…
Most MMORPG holiday events focus on the fun aspect and a reward at the end via 100% acquisition methods… WoW recently focus too much in seasonal content, some world events that won’t be relevant next expansions…I’d like to see some actual resources allocated in Holidays that have replayability every year, they´’re improving with this new boss for the event, but I still think they could do more that just assigning 1 Dev to create an Egg that will trigger a world boss…which probably will feel like HS event on which I didn’t notice the mechanics and just a lot of people killing it in 5secs.
And it’s kinda bug…amazing event.
For real, I found out about the respawn timer and was absolutely astounded (somehow even surprised) that every single holiday event they keep making worse than the last.
I have no designer/programmer experience but what appears to be a complete detachment from reality astounds me.
But I do like how players found something (even if a bug) that allowed players to complete this quicker/easier and Blizzard is immediately like “NO! We want you to SUFFER!!”
But some bugs that have persisted for weeks/months/years are fine because they degrade the player experience, which is intended.
Depends. Does 1% qualify as that?
Good for you.
1% drops mean events that for some people won’t be complete the entire lifetime of world of Warcraft.
Some players think that we want everything as an handout…Those players should try other games…
But if you get, it means something.
You get something that’s guaranteed to drop in the first few chances, who cares.
Not saying everything should be like this. The vast majority of the game isn’t. But for everything that is like this there’s constant “I WANT IT NOW!!!” threads.
It’s a shame the mount itself sucks and is really just a +1 for virtually everyone
I’m more excited about the duck toy than almost everything else. Unfortunately, I apparently need to do the quest a bunch of times to unlock every color, but that’s not a big deal I suppose.
No it doesn’t.
Hope that helps!
Well I guess you’re right, I can’t tell you it means something to you. But you can’t say it means nothing to everyone else either.
And I would assume it does mean something to all the people that continuously roll the dice on rare and event mounts.
So the game doesn’t tell you you need eggs to spawn the boss or where the eggs spawn. I didn’t always see groups up either.
Like all holiday updates, they made the holidays worse not better. Speaks to the quality of current devs compared to old ones.
Another L given to players from Blizz. These holidays items should be more fun to obtain instead of a grind. I still haven’t gotten a Headless Horseman mount and I’ve been playing since the beta. I also don’t have a Big Love Rocket. I did get a Greench mount, but only because a friend somehow lucked out and got 2 this past year. I still did the daily every day and did not get one to pay him back.
Just have it spawn every x minutes. Needing someone to hunt an egg and drag it is tedious.
Funny note for Blizz devs: Making events worse makes me not log in at all.
Making awful events no one likes instead of making actual content for the game is always bad. No PvP fixes, no bug fixes, no new content.
