No, Void Elves should not have Blood Elf hair tones/options

Everything to do with taste. You’re just projecting negative terms on the people who don’t share your priorities. Like I could just say that it’s super petty to demand something that’s already available, or to try and force an awesome void inspired race to become an insipid want to be legolas lookalike.

I think it’d be better if each race was a unique thing with a wide variety of options within that, others prefer that any look be available to (or at least certain looks) each side. It’s a matter of preference

You could, but you’d be wrong. It’s called being tonally consistent. It’s also called giving people the thing they asked for. Void elves were essentially like someone giving the people who wanted high elves a perrier when they asked for a soda.

Cool, but we’re not there because void elves are just blood elves with a skin condition and they literally added draenei with yellow light brights and tauren with moose horns, and NB are night elves with some kind of birth defect that makes them gangly. Uniqueness went out the door a long time ago. So you’re essentially just having a completely different conversation than the one going on.

Sorry I wasn’t linking this to High Elves or Void Elves, I was thinking you were saying it wasn’t lore appropriate and they got them anyways.

And you’ve lost me here.

If its your interest to erase Void Elves you don’t deserve the High Elves and I have nothing more to talk to you about.

You and I will not see eye to eye in any regard.

If its all just hair color and Belves shouldn’t be upset to lose that bit of difference then the difference shouldn’t matter to Void Elves.

You do not need natural hair colors.

The Void Elves further customization should focus on Void aspects, not high elves.

And you are so very consistent in having double standards.

If you like void elf lore, no, we will not. Ever.

Why does your character looks like James Charles?

I like High, Blood and Void Elf lore. Which if you follow means that Void Elves are the continuation of that lore on the Alliance side. Blood Elves are the continuation on the Horde side.

Your disregard for Thalassian lore, in place of misguided desire for one aspect you’ve idolized is not liking the lore.

Double standards about what? What are you even talking about?

I already stated VE can’t be DH or paladins. They’ll never be able to get those things. BE also have golden eyes, which VE will never be able to get. BE and VE are culturally different. You choosing hair colors as something that will strip away uniqueness? That’s an asinine hill to fight on.

You just make up excuses for why what you want isn’t greedy while decrying people with different wants to be greedy. It’s pretty tiresome.

Yeah…I can’t even deal with the people making insulting posts anymore.
uck…

You’re assuming a lot about me. I don’t care about High elves particularly. I’d rather we didn’t have two more species of elf in the factions at all. But now that we’re stuck with them? Might as well give High elf fans what they want on this one.

And void elf lore is trash. It doesn’t matter if its a continuation, it’s garbage. For the reasons I outlined above. You can like bad things, hell, I still play this game so I like bad things. But you’ve got to acknowledge it is terrible.

You’re the one saying hair colors is being greedy. I’m not calling people who think hair colors being unique is greedy. I’m calling into question their judgement on what matters at all. You’d have a point if VE were saying they should get pallies because they want to be a High elf pally on alliance. But we’re talking about hair color.

Then why should we take heed of your opinion at all?

You don’t like elves but just want to toss something you don’t agree with at someone else disregarding those who actually enjoy what is already there?

Why did you even care enough to comment then?

Its not trash, but your opinion has been noted for sure.

They’d eat a naaru?

They never promised more than what they have done.

It is equally as likely the next things Void Elves see are just Void customizations. People aren’t entitled to two visual themes, a complete second visual theme; one that greatly infringes on Blood Elves only and main theme? These are RP tools for people not the new identity of the race.

And I hope Blizzard sets their foot down and comments on it soon because quite frankly I don’t want to hear every time Blood Elves get something new and unique “we should have that too”.

Same could be said of anyone who comments.

So the forums can stop talking about high elves.

Explain to me how it isn’t, out of curiosity. Explain why you think it is a good story despite the reasons why their story makes little sense that I outlined above.

(Observation): Nor have they stated they won’t add more. In fact, quite the opposite.

(Commentary): Quite true. We’ll just need to wait and see.

(Query): Haven’t you been repeatedly asking for a second visual theme for Blood Elves?

(Commentary): I’d caution on your choice of words. No one is entitled to anything. What we get is what the Devs give us, and if we don’t like it, we can make feedback and they can act on it or not.

(Query): And if Blizzard comments and states the following? “We’ll be copying Blood Elf hair colors and hair styles to Void Elves in the next pass of customizations options. We wanted to get it done in the first round but didn’t want to focus too much on an Allied Race when we were focusing on Core Races. Copying and Pasting assets is relatively easy, but it’s still a lot of new options all at once.”

No where does that promise more on your second visual theme.

More for you a VE/HE fan could very well mean VOID customizations moving forward because the race is not the RP tools they gave you to be the Wayfarers.

More for Blood Elves could be a second visual theme or more High Elf options because unlike Void Elves, Blood Elves are High Elves.

This is the downside of having taken such a long break. I missed the creation of this glorious meme.

Let’s visualize this hypothetical scenario:

Let’s say Mechagnomes were instead added to the Horde. With their robotic limbs and addons, including the diaper.

Let’s say that, with the current customization batch, those limbs and addons can be replaced with fleshy parts as they, dunno, figured out how to develop synthetic skin to cover them up or some mumbo jumbo Ion made up during an interview.

And while they’re at it, they also can get every other customization save for, I don’t know, they still keep the diaper.

Would that make gnomes feel less unique?

Would that feel as if the Horde has something that had belonged to the Alliance for a long, long time?

if the answer it’s yes, then that’s your answer.

Considering blood elves can be paladins and demon hunters and have golden eyes, they’re unique from void elves.

So in this hypothetical scenario, we’d have to say mechagnomes have to have 2 less classes and one less unique customization. They’d also have to have less of a cultural obsession with technology - since Blood elves are focused on Light and to a lesser extent Fel. So they’d have to be void gnomes or something. Maybe they curse themselves with flesh willingly. In that case, yes, it would make them unique from regular gnomes. If you want to disregard how the situation is actually different, then no, they wouldn’t be unique.

I’m talking about visual identity. That also matters in this game. That’s why I don’t think forsaken should get the Nathanos treatement or that NB should look any closer to Night elves… even if we’re at a point where giving NB night elven skins would only be fair.
