The only thing I would like to see for Void Elves are even more unnatural colors. Also hair made up exclusively of void tentacles, specially a medusa style one.
You know… things that would make them look like themselves and not like blood elves knock offs.
And only after everyone else, including blood elves, had their turn first.
And I’ve said this before, no one complained because we weren’t concerned about opposing factions who already have the exact same model sharing hairstyles and colors to make them look more alike.
I think ear sliders for VE’s and NB should be implemented. It seems like a QOL thing for Elf players but RPers can do their Half Elf thing if they want.
Other than that Void Elves imo should get more on their original main theme…
Speaking of Void color I want them to fix their male VE model that looks like everyones been punched in the eye or have a lack of sleep. It did not look like that before the pre patch.
That’s a fair point. I will say again though that I DON’T want blood elf hair styles, just natural ones . . . something like braided pigtails on the females and longer hair on males that looks like it was washed and wasn’t half shaved off . . . that’s about it really. And while humans, dwarves, and blood elves have blonde, red, and brunette hair they are different tones and saturations . . . That’s what I want, not a carbon copy of blood elf hair.
I don’t get why aesthetic appearances between blood elves and void elves have to always be a compromise.
Can’t we just request things for blood elves while also requesting things for void elves?
I don’t think void elves should get blood elf hairstyles without taking from blood elves and vice versa, I just think both races should get their own additional options.
Same thing with the colors, void elves could have access to some of the human/dwarf hair colors.
It really doesn’t have to be a constant battle over who has more while trying to hinder whichever group people feel objectively has more options.
Compromises are important I feel like I learned this at a young age, because I’m not entitled to other peoples things?
The core race was already shafted in favor of Void Elves, and I’m not going to just sit around and not speak up while they continue to do nothing for Blood Elves and people want the last bits of what they didn’t get in a compromise that already favored them heavily.
Compromises are important when you’re actively losing a customization option. The blood elf skin tones were not removed from blood elves.
If you mean something akin to “hey, void elves got blood elf skintones, then blood elves should have their skintones/hairstyles” then yeah, that really doesn’t bother me.
But that also seems like you’re just putting yourself through pointless stress by feeling like this is a battle over who has more between the two.
That being said, I completely agree that blood elves need more options.
Absolutely speak up, I 100% support this, however I find it a little ridiculous when one party tries to hinder the other over this, especially considering the fact that it is purely cosmetic.
This seems personal to you.
The void elf aesthetic was barely explained, and the void elf leader (who’s also been stated to be a void elf) is not purple and full of tentacles.
The void elves seen in telogrus (or the high elves and blood elves practicing void magic) could also be considered part of the aesthetic, and they are not purple and full of tentacles either.
That being said, it is completely Blizzard’s fault for not really explaining anything, or explaining the logic behind their new/old skin colors either. It’s pretty much left to our imagination.
Either way, I support both void elves and blood elves receiving new options like I pointed out to lannisterian.
No, it wasn’t me that ever asked for them to be stripped of their visual identity. People like you who keep bringing up the NPCs in telogrus and instantly assume that if they joined, the would look more “pure” are the ones that have done this.
Their scenario made it really clear as to why they looked like their own people (note the use of past tense here), and the circumstances in which Alleria even transformed also made it clear that she not only had been through long previous training but she absorbed a void naaru, something that, obviously, not everyone will have access to because you can’t just order them through Amazon.
You and those wanting to wash off what little visual identity the VEs have left are basically operating on assumptions and wishful thinking to justify that you just want prettier humans with long ears.
