No, Void Elves should not have Blood Elf hair tones/options

haha now THIS is fantastic

Hats off
I rescind my remarks

So add some hair colors that Blood Elves don’t have then. Blonde and brown with purple streaks, kind of like the two-tone troll hair colors they added.

And… the points are redacted, because High Elves on the Alliance side had been in game since WoW launched. Well before Blood Elves were shoehorned onto the Horde.

And, to note, Void Elves had blue eyes before Blood Elves did. So, the point of Blood Elves getting the Alliance “blue eyes” also stands on that matter.

This doesn’t apply to void elves. We are literally blood elves, formerly high elves…

Depends on who you ask I suppose. One could argue the transformation was drastic for some, and minor for others. Who’s to say some didn’t retain a fairly normal appearance after being corrupted? Who’s to say some didn’t join or seek out the Ren’dorei after the events of the allied race quest?

I mean, there are a bunch of non-corrupted elves in telogrus rift. Both high elves AND blood elves from silvermoon. They must know something about the void to even get into the rift, so it’s not like ALL void magic users look like us. We were simply transformed by the one event in the questline (which in lore we cannot even replicate) So anyone else that came afterwards would not be void corrupted

Edit: It also makes sense that uncorrupted elves would seek us out, as it’s been shown that void magic is unsafe around the Sunwell. Who’s to say there aren’t normal elves interested in the void, who left to pursue their interests but we’re not part of Umbric’s group?

Honestly this is the problem with Blizzard’s shoehorned lore. If they wanted elf models on the alliance, they should’ve just made a new elf race. Trying to give alliance blood elves, that are high elves, but also different because void elves, but also have similar options because at the root they’re the same race… It’s just a mess that they didn’t handle well at all as far as I’m concerned

They could’ve just given alliance silver covenant elves, tossed blood elves blue eyes and golden eyes, and called it a day. No need for this complicated, flimsy AF void elf lore

Next race being added to the alliance.

Light Orcs.

Except that the High Elves actually officially left and never rejoined the Alliance under King Anasterian Sunstrider after the Second War because he thought the human kingdoms were useless

Game. Set. Match.

I find funny when those in the Alliance claim it is the Horde still clamoring that Blood elves don’t belong in the Horde, when I keep seeing it coming from the blue side.

But I guess that looking at the story of those High Elves that honor their fallen would disrupt this notion that “Blood elves don’t belong! Grrr!”.

Damn, beat me to it.
but in addition,

Since the cleansing of the Sunwell, its been said that the blue glow that once was a trait of High Elves would return to the Blood Elves. It might take a long time but it would happen, this was before Void Elves were ever conceived. So once again, nothing was “taken” from the Alliance.

How about Human and Night Elf hairstyles? This way they will still look different from Blood Elves.

I mean, I’ve been wanting a red skintone of BEs for a long time…so yes, let’s do this.

Let’s be real, Velves will probably get the hair colors when Blizz gets around to touching up allied races. The skin and eye colors were just easy ports to satisfy Helf fans for a moment

Why would they even have a red skin color?

They’re suddenly fel orcs?

How about looking like the void actually affected you, which it did?

Don’t forget people who want a time skip in WoW just because they believe by doing so Blood Elves will have “re joined their rightful faction” lol

Mostly because red is a great color and BEs could totally pull it off. Though, I’d be lying if getting the opportunity to RP a fel elf wasn’t part of the desire. What can I say, I love those guys from the Sunwell raid.

Who’s to decide how something affected by the void should look?

Alleria looks normal.
Turalyon is also “affected by the light” yet little other than his eye-colour changed.
Orcs drank literal fel-blood and got a different skin colour and nothing else.

I swear, the fact that the “pretty elves on the good side” trope has been used so much has ruined the capacity of thinking outside the box :expressionless:

Fel blood elves don’t come in red alone either if you see them in Sunwell. And they’re all but extinct too.

Also, why is blood elves the ones that should be changing dramatically anyway?

It’s either that or looking like a knock off.

Ah yes, because all leaders look exactly like the people they lead. Should go and tell Turalyon to speed up the building of his LF draenei cosplay.

Well yeah, but just like Sanlyn (sorry I know I’m going to butcher their name) I find them neat is all.

They don’t need to. I just dig a red skintone is all. Ain’t got no logic or lore, I just love the idea of a red skintone is all.

Don’t worry, I have to double check each time I have to spell Sanlian… Sanlyan… San… whatever.

And I like them a lot too, but I don’t know if it would work as a customization addition since the change would be on a whole different level.

Besides, I’m just personally tired of the cheap cop out of fixing up copies instead of coming up with new things.

Wouldn’t them look like belves but blue make them more of a knock off?
Mag’har have their own hairstyles and they don’t look like knock off orcs.

Absolutely irrelevant. Changes not that Alleria was indeed affected by the void lorewise and yet she presents no changes players seem to think void elves should present.
