Either way, the few obnoxious posters who keep saying “gO pLaY REEEEEEtAil” have no idea how close Cata is to Wrath and essentially to classic.

They still weren’t really all that great in my op. Hybrid speccing was one of the biggest appeals to the old talent trees in wrath. And you can’t really do that in cata. You could basically mix and match a ton of combinations on any given class. On frost mages, I had access to all three of the trees, and most of the abilities of each spec to in wrath.
Then they nerfed them further in pandaria and we got 5 measly talent points per spec. Like what a joke.
