No Tinker Class, Feels like we need a New Class TBH

lol yep exactly my point, i don’t think we need another thing to add to that

You know. Vanilla wasn’t very well Balanced. We shouldn’t have gotten more content in BC.

Classes weren’t balanced in BC either. Probably shouldn’t have gotten death knights in WoW.

Actually, Lets go WAY back. WarCraft 3 was unbalanced, Why did they make a whole new game?!

You can’t just sit around and stagnate. Thats how you get boring messes of expansions.

Its a traditional name for Roma, Traveler, Gypsy people. Tinkerers.

Well. I didn’t know that. But thank you for bringing it to my attention.

However, I will reiterate that that name has been around Since WarCraft 3.

Personally I think I would prefer something just a little less goofy sounding, but I suppose it is a goofy idea for a class.

Grizzek and Saffy gave me hope that us Gnomes and Goblins will be able to work together.

I’ve literally NEVER heard that one associated with Roma before.

Eh, too generic.

Just to play devils advocate and be entirely fair. Racial Slurs are a big deal, and should be avoided, to some degree. But I think Blizzard would prefer to stick with their original name.

To be entirely honest, I would prefer a name like “Mechanic” or “Technician”
A little less goofy, while still being directly to the point.

Sure! When every one of you irradiated shorties is blasted off the face of Azeroth.
(I kid, of course. I actually do like gnomes)

Couldn’t Agree more. At least Tinkers are something WoW could do really unique and well.

Tinker has been used through history to denote inventor types.

Hell, Disney uses the term for an entire group of Fairies that Tinkebelle is part of.

Tinker is not as derogatory as is being portrayed here.

Tinkering is certainly a profession that I can see being a thing but not necessarily as a class.

I like the portrayal of the way tinkers within Warcraft lore in general;

I.E; they use tinkering in a way that enhances their class. That would be a cool idea

I would love a new class. Id even c what. Like, Bard or Tinker make sense to me. But I saw someone say Night Warrior on these forums a few days ago. And I just know whatever they add (and I do think they should add at least one) it will be fun to play something fresh. I dabble in all the classes and specs really.

Maybe it’s you

by zeus no, balance the specs they have now, fix the mile long list of things for them

The class doesn’t appeal to me so I’m going to say nah. Literally anything other than tinker would be more exciting than tinker from my perspective.

That’s been a running request for 16 years.
We still got Death Knights, Monks and Demon Hunters.

Tinkers really do seem like the most logical choice for the next class.
Tech has been a big part of both Alliance and Horde going back to WC2.
Tinker hero in WC3.
WoW has had NPCs who were basically Tinkers for forever.
The Motherlode dungeon was full of mechs and the last boss was Tinker.
Battle of Dazar’alor had a Tinker as a boss in the form of High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque
Heroes of the Storm’s Gazlowe is essentially a Tinker.

It’s all there already. They just need to bring it together into a playable class.
The game also really needs another Mail armor class and another ranged weapon user.
Tank, Ranged DPS, healer Hero Class. No more Melee focused Hero Classes.

The only issue I see with a new class is if it wants to level it’s happy butt through Legion. They’d have to come up with new ‘artifact weapon’ stories and a class hall specifically for them maybe.

Or they ignore that completely and just have them do the Legion levelling in the zones only.

It’s not like they bothered to retroactively add content before.
Like how they didn’t add tier to old raids for Death Knight, Monk or Demon Hunter.
The last sorely needing way more class based transmog.

When a new class is added to WoW, it’s always central to the expansion’s theme. I can’t imagine we’ll ever get a tech expansion, so I don’t think tinker is a good guess for the next class.

I mean, that’s subjective. Just because you don’t personally enjoy something doesn’t mean no one else will.
For example, I really hate Warlock. But that doesn’t mean Warlock shouldn’t have been added, it just means I wont play it.

This isn’t really an Issue. They don’t need to retroactively add content, they never have.

Gallywix was recently shown to be a Villain to both Alliance and Horde, If he were to return as a major Villain, I could easily see such a class.

That, or there’s always the Undermine, which was cut content in Vanilla.

Wouldn’t that mean all engineers are tinkerers? :stuck_out_tongue:
