No Tinker Class, Feels like we need a New Class TBH

Yes, but you are asking to take engineering as an idea and make it a class. Rogues are not alchemists, that is a small part of their kit. Not really even sure where your Enhance Sham and enchanter comparison came from. You are asking for an Engineer Class. Tinkers from WC3 are Engineers in WoW.

The class I really want is a Void class. A plate wearing caster that uses void magic to summon creatures from the Great Beyond to assail their foes. And use dark void rituals to modify their bodies.

I just really want Bard. Not tinker or dragonscum.

Nope, I’m not asking that at all.
I’m asking for a Hero Unit from Warcraft 3 to get turned into a Class.

Just like Demon Hunter, Just like Monk, Just like Death Knight.

Do your research plz! <3

But they can both apply Poisons to their weapons and drink potions to heal themselves.

Enhancement Shaman: Puts Buffs on weapons to make them stronger and provide additional benefits.

Enchanter: puts buffs on weapons to make them stronger and provide additional benefits.

That’s not true at all. Because Engineering is a profession, not a class.

This is literally a google search away dude.

An Engineer can build bombs and gadgets, while a Tinker Class is building Turrets and Mechs.

blizzard has never balanced classes. ever. might as well give people what they want so that they’ll continue to fork out the money each month, eh?

While this sounds cool, I think the team would have a lot of trouble differentiating a Void Pet Class from Warlocks and Hunters.

Respectfully, I don’t think it’s likely that we will get any classes that Aren’t inspired by WarCraft 3.

What’s weird is your creepy fetish with the constant posting of this subject.

No, I will not ignore the thread and just not post. I’m allowed to post where I want.

No, I will not put you on ignore, because I will call you out every day/week you do this.

Your obsession is disturbing.

I mean, Okay dude.

It’s just a class that I think is likely, and it would be cool.

Like a Void Knight tank would use the language of the void etched into their plate armor to augment their body. Their arms and appendages become void or sha like granting them increased defense and strength.

Imgur

The void energy bound to the armor they wear with the etched void rituals carved into the plate.

Eh… I don’t. The Ranged dps plate wouldn’t have permanent pets. They’d be more like ripping open void portals and temporarily allowing these void creatures to attack. Some abilities even opening void portals to allow massive void tendrils to strike out.

A Ranged DPS that uses void magic to destroy enemies sounds suspiciously like something we already have…

And yet you make a new thread almost every week, obsessing over it constantly.

Mate, you take everything at literal face value.

They are very similar. Obviously engineering is not a class, I’ve played WoW for 16 years mate.

That’s an oversimplification, but sure.

Also, such a very small part of the Rogue Class. Not even comparable to Alchemists.

And maybe this is utility that would be better off given to Engineers. Professions are in dire need of an update, not a pruning.

There have been a lot of clues in SL that make me think they are leaning towards “music magic” as something possible for the future.

There have been a lot of people that have fleshed this idea out that doesn’t take anything away from Engineering as a profession but includes things that we have seen in the game from our resident Tinkers, such as tanking battle suits, turrets and guns for DPS, bandage guns for healing… there is still a LOT of room to make “Tinker” be a thing and come out with three fully fleshed-out specs at the other end.

Shadow Priests use damage over time effects and some shadow magic. I’m talking about a class the full on uses the void.

A shadow priest and affliction warlock are very similar, which is why I don’t think it’s stepping on toes to have a Void class. I guess I’d also point out that Demon Hunters and Warlocks both call on the energies of the Fel and Demons.

You mean like people did for many years about Classic until they finally got it?

Hmmm…

Then you should Know that Profession design and Class design are two separate things.
Or have you really been playing for 16 years? :face_with_monocle:

So is saying that a Profession with 5 minute cooldown bombs is an entire class. Lol.

Uh… Yeah. And?

Just like you said earlier.

“I’m allowed to post where I want”

I’m not allowed to post about what I want? Only you?

I think its because Tinkerer is a title - not really a class.

The point I was making is that blizzard has yet to figure out why we even have different classes to begin with - as a DH you can probably feel it better then anyone with your 2 specs. Blizzard could not even pull off making “unique” functions for the classes they already have - Mage/Destro Locks/Balance druids/Elemental Shamans day by day seem to be feeling more and more like they are the same class.

I would rather they revist the existing classes in a Wrath style rework of the classes (de-homogenize them) then try to add another at this point. The classes feel very the same.

For those arguments saying class balance, that’s ridiculous… I’ve played WoW since 2004 release class balance never was a thing, even in MoP where I’d say most classes felt great their was never truely balance.

I’d love new classes/Races, I think the more the merrier, be it Tinker, Bard, Necromancer or Dark Ranger whatever they decide, a new class bring excitement, re playability and more so a class that can be suited for a players play style and theme…
