Which is why I asked what else you got?
You realize itâs already been stated it wonât. Also just because you donât like something doesnât mean everyone else doesnât
Because thereâs still power, people will keep doing them for power.
If you remove all power from torghast to feed your timer hate (even if its an incredibly generous soft timer) thereâs zero reason to run it.
If you have power you have to balance it around the people willing to wait out cds.
Ion has stated theyâre discussing added a soft timer, if you spend too long theyâre talking about sending waves of enemies in.
Thereâs no solution that will work beyond the soft timer. You want to add awkward limits on legendaries so you can punish people who do better at the tower compared to others.
Those of us who dislike conforming to how others want to play the game?
Not certain, but I think thatâs a larger set than just me.
As long as it doesnât reward gear
It rewards the material needed to craft and empower legendary items.
Ok allow me to explain to you something. There is a MASSIVE difference between timers on raids and timers on mythic plus. Timers on raids ONLY last for the one boss fight. Where are timers on mythic plus are a collective pacing between 3 bosses and all the trash.
Compared to Mythic plus raids donât have the feel of timers. Because the raid is allowed to set up at itâs own pace and clear trash for the single fight.
We used to have that feeling in dungeons too, and it was nice. Then Mythic plus came along and suddenly the only way content could be hard was if it had a annoying multi-target overall timer slapped on the top.
Thus we begged for this tower concept. Now your trying to put the same mythic plus like pacing race on it. Iâm afraid Iâm not alone with NOT BEING DOWN WITH THAT!
You attempting to use waiting on cooldowns as a reasoning and Iâm telling you right now, We could all care less if someone waitâs between each cooldown⌠Too each his own.
As for rewards, we are getting rewarded for doing hard stuff. The amount of time that passed has nothing to do with if we got that target down or not. If we waited for cooldowns, umm then thatâs what we did. Do you have toâŚNO!
Stop putting your twisted new reward value system on people who want NOTHING to do with it!
Isnât that the point of the big ugly that chases you?
Let me explain something to you. No one asking for M+ level timers, just a lenient timer to stop degenerate gameplay, because if that gameplay is allowed, then the content HAS to be balanced around it.
You attempting to use waiting on cooldowns as a reasoning and Iâm telling you right now, We could all care less if someone waitâs between each cooldown⌠Too each his own.
And what are you going to do when Blizzard inevitably balances the tower around those people? They donât want one of the main features of the expansion to be cheesed by someone who spends 90% of their time AFK.
Because thereâs still power, people will keep doing them for power.

And I already offered a solution to people waiting out CDs⌠Respawn timers on mobs. Eventually you wonât have the DPS required to kill packs before they respawn on top of you killing you. Thereby creating an INTRA-fight timer, as opposed to your INTER-fight timer.
I donât hate timers⌠Iâm not keen on making ANOTHER form of content, that is governed by a ticking clock regardless of what youâre doing inside that content. We donât have that overall clock ticking down when we enter a raid instance. Iâm SURE we can create something similar for Torghast.
The difference between a mob respawn timer, and a timer ticking down to an infinite supply of mob waves that eventually overwhelm you, is that one is predictable and is under your control. The other⌠youâre just along for the ride until eventually you canât keep up.
That only happens if you die X number of times.
Mob packs arenât on top of each other, you can wait in safe areas. If they move to you, thatâs exactly what theyâre talking about doing.
If there was no form of timer for Torghast, what will motivate you to push forward to the next level without waiting for your cooldowns?
Mob packs arenât on top of each other, you can wait in safe areas. If they move to you, thatâs exactly what theyâre talking about doing.
So when the soft enrage times out, what exactly happens then. I was under the impression that they send a wave of mobs to your location. Does that not happen?
And I already offered a solution to people waiting out CDs⌠Respawn timers on mobs.
Do you even know what the proposed soft timer is? If you take too long waiting on cooldowns, the tower will send more mobs at you. Itâs not like thereâs a giant clock ticking down the second you enter the tower. And this soft timer wonât even show up until later floors. You people are panicking and losing your minds over something that you probably wonât even see for the first month of the expansion. And if you get to a point where the soft timer is preventing you from moving forward, then itâs time to pack it up for that week anyway because youâre not going to get much further.
They were talking about sending ever increasing mob numbers to your location to get you moving, not starting off with some unkillable number.
Respawn timers on mobs.
So how will that impact people who are exploring and have to reclear a bunch of mobs?
I think M+ found itâs niche and itâs nice, but definitely no more timed content please, M+ is already stressful as is please for the love of god donât put a timer on Torghast.
Edit: As a tank running M+ right now itâs so much responsibility.
