No Sockets for Hero level necks from timewalking?

Choker of the Firelord for reference, not allowed to add sockets to Timewalking necks? Won’t let me thats or sure.

I’d put in a ticket. Champion and Hero track on TW should be eligible.

Not sure if this is the same issue, but here’s what Posted earlier.

let’s make sure that you’ve set the game up as to add items along the same timeframe or same timewalking event.

Potential workaround. Does it convert in the catalytic converter?

Could that be a means to get a socket on it?

BT hero epics could convert so I was wondering if it might be the same for Firelands.

Edit: necks don’t convert :smiling_face_with_tear:

The Catalyst doesn’t work on necklaces as far as I know.

My assumption is the item ID isn’t one that the sockets recognize.

probably in the same vein of not being able to DE into DF mats, because that’d be a great way to farm mats so we can’t have that either

Same, got necklaces on multiple toons and they are scrap vendor junk if we cannot socket them. I did put in a ticket but this is dumb.

Funny we had the exact same issue happen just recently with the Dreamsurge vendor necks. That was fixed later with a hotfix but wasn’t retroactive to prior items. I don’t see how the designers could not anticipate this.

This isn’t a new complaint. It’s been like this for Timewalking items since sockets from M+ became a thing.

Personally, I think it’s on purpose. The Timewalking raid gear is too easy to get, so they won’t allow it to be socketed.

Tin foil theory? Maybe. But it wouldn’t surprise me.

Too bad if so, it turns what would have been a nice upgrade i to a vendor item.

How are you getting hero and champion track gear from timewalking? All I’m getting is adventurer and explorer. 428 stuff.

It’s from the timewalking raid, not dungeons.

Just wanted to add, using the catalyst doesn’t get around this. Had a char get a hero helm from Firelands chest that I then converted to be a tier piece. This week grabbed a vault socket to add to it and got “That item cannot be modified.” Searched and found this thread. Sadge.

It is a quest that you get not from bosses.
