History really does repeat itself. The Wall of No posters who fought against Vanilla servers, and mocked and insulted those of us who wanted them, are here now trying to change them because they don’t like how the game was back then.
This isn’t Vanilla and we’re not “Wall of No” posters.
You didn’t win the right to have every expansion recreated in your “No-change” vision. Blizzard has straight up said this is no longer following a “No-change” philosophy.
#SomeChanges
as Blizzard has firmly stated. They want community input on the types of QoL changes we’d like to see. Dual Spec is strongly desired by the majority of the community.
You’re confusing ‘the community’ with a small amount of entitled forum posters. They’re not indicative of the average gamer, and they never were. Blizz shouldn’t have listened to those entitled players the first time, and certainly shouldn’t repeat that same mistake. Because what will happen is the same thing that occurred the first time: the silent majority just leave. And the entitled crowd complain more and more and demand more and more. All the while never being satisfied.
Unlike you, I’m level 70 and actively play the game. I talk to other players who play this game.
The majority of the people playing the game want Dual Spec. We’re not going to allow the small minority of “No-changers” to keep this game down like they did with Classic. We’re not going to have another spell batching fiasco again.
Its a game. Id rather play the game then jump through hoops. Sadly blizzard tried to put this classic trash in SL and we see what happens, its a giant failure.
Do you know what a painfully long time it takes to kill something as a holy priest in raid healing spec? It’s agony. But I need those motes of element whatever to make my stuff. Ugh.
-
i raid as a holy priest and its not bad at all lol

choosing the path of support should put you at a disadvantage in some areas of the game
And now your first green quest reward can pop epic as can any other quest reward in the game. With enough luck you can be full epics by level 10
i’d rather them decrease the gold cost of respecing, or increase decay. remember its not just 50g, its also another 50g on top of that to go back to your other spec. i’d like to see it at 40g max but idc
Yes, we do… every single on of us want it. You are spec privileged if you don’t.
Just to support what Delimicus was saying, I pulled the video from Blizzconline and set it to the particular timecode where Blizzard essentially says this:
So basically you are saying you don’t like old school RPG games. Because decisions had consequences back then. Respeccing had time and gold costs. You signed up to play an old school game, but it seems you didn’t really want to play a real RPG after all.
Edit, it’s DUAL. Duel is what you do outside Ironforge.
Um, you don’t speak for me bud.
No your guild will not require you to use it. If they do then join a guild that doesn’t.
Also, all you are doing by making statements like this is showing that your only desire is to remain a special little snowflake. Poor you.
If ALL of the guilds require you to use it, then ALL of the guilds want to use it which make you a very very lonely loner. So with that said, go back to classic. Stop trying to defend something that NOBODY except you wants.
Unless you want to change your outlook and repost that the truth is that MANY guilds will not require you to use it.
At the end of the day, join a guild that has your same goals. If you want to role play, join a roleplaying server. If you want to min/max, join a min/max guild. If you want to play casually, then join a casual guild.
Do NOT join a min/max guild and then whine because they all want to do something that YOU don’t. That is just retarded.
Yea well, they put retail trash in Classic too. So yes, they are clueless about their games and their players.
These are two completely different games with two player bases. How about we keep the features in each game seperate.
No that is not what i am saying. Its not that hard if you actually read it again. I said ITS ALREADY IN THE GAME!!! IT IS ALREADY THERE. there are no consequences. what is so damn hard for you ppl to see that. the consequence is that i can’t switch from a warrior to a mage. That i agree with, but nobody is asking for that. There are plenty of ROLE PLAYING MMO’s that DO allow that though. Any class can tank.
We are asking for BETTER ROLE Playing. Where a damn warrior doesn’t have to go to a trainer and say " HEY, I know you already showed me how to use this shield a few hours ago, but, umm, i forgot already, can i give u some gold and have u train me again"
You are the one that doesn’t want RPG.
and thanks for the DUAL grammar correction.
It’s in a much later expansion. ITWASNT PRESENT IN ORIGINAL TBC!!!
Yes, plenty of other games have it, I absolutely loved spec swapping in Rift. This is supposed to be a recreation. We would like for it to be as true to the original as possible.
You’re welcome.
But those changes do affect other players. I signed up to play a recreation. But here we are, Blizzard themselves decided to make changes that weren’t asked for and you guys want more. It ruins the experience for those who wanted to relive the game as it was.
It was. I’m sorry to say this but you don’t know much about how old school RPG games work.
But the expansions that have dual spec were designed to have it. That’s what you don’t understand.
WotLK was designed for players to respec mid dungeon.
TBC is not. It would skew encounters drastically if you were allowed to respec.
And… respeccing already exists in game in a way that is not detrimental to dungeons and raid:
Go to the trainer, spend 50gold and respec! Then go there again to spec back later for another 50gold.
Wrong. I may not quit because of no dual spec, agreed, but this is the last classic expansion i will play.
when there are clear improvements to the game that take nothing away from the overall experience but they are not going to add them Just because. No thanks. That was what happened with classic and it wasted so much of what could have been. just stupid.
I am invested in tbc so i will continue. I loved it the first time and i love it now. But there are so many things that could be done to make it even better and a few of those things we already know because they were implemented in later expansions. Dual spec is one of those things that does nothing but make the game better.
The game was good as it was.
Bugfixes… OK. Catering to the instant gratification single player don’t wanna group or join a guild or play an alt spoiled retail brats, not OK.
Neat! I’m no big fan of RNG loot upgrades though, and I assume they maintained the whole Titanforged, Warforged, X-forged, random upgrades beyond WoD. Had there been some kind of way to go manually upgrade a piece with sufficient Raid-only currency then fine, but I don’t think I ever got a weapon or trinket that was X-forged.
I don’t get why people are bothered by early epics TBH, the “omg epics” died down rather quickly before we even got TBC and with greens/blues just smashing the old epics out of the park, followed by an abundance of “welfare” epics from Badges, Honor Points, and Arena Points, having purple gear just hasn’t been an accomplishment in a long while.
