No, seriously, we REALLY don't all want Dual Spec in TBC

No sht sherlock. I have already stated that over and over. I even stated that we are not asking for dual spec because its already in the game. I said we are asking for an easier and cheaper way of doing it. So NO, an easier and cheaper way of doing it is not already in the game. And I am only talkign about an easier and cheaper way of changing specs. NOTHING ELSE!!!

We do respec mid dungeon/raid already. The game was designed to allow that and we do it. In no world was the intent to say we don’t want them to do it. IF they didn’t want it to happen then they would jsut make it not possible. They didn’t, they allowed it. so stop saying nonsense like they didn’t want you to do that. Durrr, they didn’t want you to do that so they made it possible for you to do it.

And that is BS that the game was designed around it. Nonsense.

the game was not good as it was. Just like classic. Catering to band wagon, #nochanges, streamer fanboys, ruined the potential of what could have been. NOT ok.

We do respec mid dungeon/raid already.

That’s exactly why it is good to have some limitation on it, like having to go to the trainer and pay gold to do it.
It discourages you to do exactly that by costing you time and gold, making it more of a downside than help to go respec for particular bosses.
And that is good!

I do, I’m a warrior, and I PVP a lot (Battlegrounds) but I also do 2-3 heroics (I tank them as prot) every couple days.

Having dual spec would be nice.

Calm down, your rants are starting to lose complete logic. You also havent stated why adjusting respec process is needed/benefit. It is pure laziness. You dont want to pay the gold amount, spend the simple time to go to a city, etc. There is nothing stopping you currently from respecing and playing how you wish, but you demand convenience as gameplay improvement. The people debating you believe wholeheartedly that convenience in an mmo leads toward retail crap of today and they dont want that .

Well… the EoL changes that came with Cata and led to retail caused me, and many other old school players to quit because they destroyed the feel and vibe of the game.
If you would implement them in classic, you’d lose a large amount of the player base that came back explicitly because of wanting the original classic experience, while you’d probably just go back to retail.

you are not to bright are you. What an awesome game design. its genious. Put a feature like dual spec in the game but then DISCOURAGE us from using it.

Yep, makes sense now. Just go back to classic already.

I had a blast in Classic, sorry you didn’t.
I’d play it again.

Seems unnecessary. This guy was resto all the way through TBC and still managed to kill stuff when he had to.

Adding convenience purely because people demand the right to be lazy is silly.

No you wouldn’t, you are a liar. The game is there, it never left. YOU did. so don’t say you would play it again.

Why don’t you go back to retail along with the other spoiled retail brats?
Classic was made to be Classic, not retail!

another genius

its not necessary. Nobody claimed it was necessary. Go ask the arms warrior how well it worked out tanking his heroic. Then come back and say something like that.

I am not trying to convince anyone. dual spec was added in wotlk. when it was added, the MAJORITY of all players welcomed it and loved it. You ppl that are posting against it are just trying to cling on to the #nochanges bs. you have no argument that is valid. I am not wasting anymore time replying to you ridiculous comments

You know what? I’ve been totally polite to you and here you go calling me a liar?
I’m currently playing a version of Vanilla, just not here. So yes, I’d play it again if Blizzard relaunched it.
Get your sorry butt off that high horse, you’re getting cranky from saddle sores. :rage:

Nothing is stoping you from playing the game. Not having dual spec does not somehow magically prevent you from playing. Your own personal choice is all that’s stopping you.

“You people”, “not wasting anymore time replying…” (storms out of room)
yep definitely a rant, ty for visiting the wow forums!

There is no “need” there is only “want”
Figure it out.

Yes, it was added in WotLK and people loved it, including myself.
But that is besides the point!
TBC was simply not designed to support it while WotLK was! All the encounters in raids were tuned towards it. The ones in TBC are not!

There are many. However, I’ll list just one. I challenge you to debate that it isn’t a downside.

#1. Allowing for dual-specialization reduces the motivation to create alt characters. Alt characters increase a server’s population and increase the longevity of the game.

The best part about WotLK dual spec implementation is that it is optional.

Oh, so you enjoy when some random player you aren’t in a group has to travel to a class trainer to respec? Exactly how does that bring you enjoyment?

Can you please explain the process that causes you to have joy from the class trainer mechanic?

It’s already bastardized so I’m not sure what your point is here. I spec frost for tanking High King Maulgar, teleport → respec to fire for Gruul. Process takes me about 20s if there are no horde at summon stone.

Can you please explain to me why having that 20-30seconds of added inconvenience brings you enjoyment? What specifically about the class trainer mechanic is it that you enjoy so much?

The Wrath Crusade.
