No, seriously, we REALLY don't all want Dual Spec in TBC

and you can

Having the final patch talents and gear updates has also trivialized content. Having dual spec would at least make it possible to help out the guild by healing or tanking.

I would be all for this. And is actually a really great idea. I’m for dual spec but I’m okay with this for sure!

Quit trolling kid.

How is it easier with DualSpec?

It was fine back in 2006 without dual spec. In fact, the game grew by millions. When there were a LOT more casual players.

What we have now is a handful of entitled retail players who flood the forums because they’ve grown accustomed to not having meaningful choices and can’t fathom that the game didn’t used to work that way. You’re choosing to play TBC…but don’t want to play TBC. The problem is you, not the game.

  • I don’t play retail.
  • Every successful TBC private server has had Dual Spec.
  • Nano (Nostalrius dev) just made a video and stated he thinks Dual Spec should be added to Classic TBC.

I’m choosing to play TBC Classic. I want TBC Classic to be better, as do the majority of players who are actively playing it and aren’t level 59. The polls show that.

You should extend that decision to the forums too, imo.

Isn’t the older versions of the game supposed to be the “meaningful choices”? Like this was a legit argument against retail, how there is no real choice, just pure homogenization across the board, but now retail is the one with meaningful choice and the older variants aren’t?

Painfully ignorant. “Hey there is this one thing that would be pret-.” “NO THIS IS THE GAME, IT’S MY OLD NOSTALGIA TRIP, IF YOU DON’T ACCEPT IT IN EVERY CAPACITY THEN YOU’RE JUST A ZOOMER RAISED ON RETAIL, GO BACK TO THAT FAILED GAME BECAUSE I CAN’T COPE OR UNDERSTAND WHY ANYONE WOULD WANT ANY POSITIVE CHANGE TO A 15 YEAR OLD GAME.”

Cope.

I guess the concept of having a surplus of gold is completely alien to you. I could respec 10 times a week for 50 gold and I’d still be in the green every single week.

Grats bro, you need a pat on the back? Has nothing to do with duel spec though.

LOL, I love when the classic morons show themselves like this. Honestly please keep it up.

Great question. That seems to be the argument classic zealots are trying to make.

There is dual spec in TBC. It’s called visit your class trainer and shell out 50g.

Shell it out yourself.

People are going to ask for dual spec one way or another.

Did that large text validate your opinion? I hope you feel better now.
Dual spec will arrive soon… in approximately 1.5 years.

And people are going to correctly state that TBC is not designed with dual spec in mind and that it would distort the whole balance of the game…
I mean, I’d be ok with reducing the respec price cap, but there has to be at least some restriction in place so that players can’t easily respec mid-raid or dungeon, like having to visit the trainer at least.
Otherwise, you’re going to have even more min/maxing than there already is.

Nah, what’s actually insane is coming to a “Classic” game and expecting retail.

Should dual specialization be added? No

Should the cost of respecing be reduced because it basically suffocates the game, prevents people from participating in multiple forms of content based on their inability to spend extra time farming just to be able to afford to participate in that content due to there being a toxic level of min max in the game that requires you to be optimally speced in order to do so? While at the same time rewarding those who buy gold / sell boosts / came into tbcc with 20k+ gold due to GDKP runs (which were highly inflated with illegally bought gold) which were far more prevalent in classic vanilla than they were in actual vanilla?

Yes

I’d also be ok with changing the code of conduct to prohibit GDKP runs… we didn’t really have those back in the day and they do seem very unethical to me… I mean, if you aren’t good enough to get the gear, you shouldn’t get the gear.
