I understand fixing the bug, but no rollbacks? I have a friend who boosted 58 earlier today and has been honor cap for a few hours now. I had work and got 15k honor before this fix went in. Am I expected to be okay with having to farm for 30-40 hours to get the last 60k honor that my friend got in 6? This type of thing has happened plenty of times in the past (bugs with players acquiring too much honor), but I cant remember a single time that the changes weren’t implemented with accompanying gear/honor rollbacks.

These bgs today have been the most fun I’ve had in a long time in classic wow. People actually played objectives because they were 100x more valuable than messing around trying to chase killing blows. A lot of really positive people stoked about getting gear, and preparing for prepatch where all this gear gets replaced by leveling items anyways.
It’s a shame that you’re taking a stance that this hotfix actually makes the game better, because for me it’s just taken the steam out of playing prepatch. Enjoy longer bg queues for the next 2 weeks and nothing but full bis rogues and locks.
It is COMPLETELY fair! Do the math and adjust the amount of honor by what is should have been if they farmed without the ‘bug’.
Someone did something during this time, and someone else did the exact thing at a different time and they got VASTLY different amounts of honor is fair to you??
Rollbacks wouldn’t be fair. If I was getting 200 honor for bg wins I wouldn’t have spent the day grinding bg’s in the first place.
I went pretty hard in bgs, I only got 2 armor slots and a 1h weapon. If they rolled it back I would have like part of one item lol
how is it fair to do a rollback which affects all players? what about the people who didnt do pvp at all and maybe raided naxx and got multiple pieces of gear and then they just get randomly rolled back?
Items should be removed, converted to honor, then the correct honor amount refunded to the player for the solution of objective fairness but I’d much rather see them offer some sort of bonus to all players rather than steal from the ones who got to find more fun and value out of what we missed out on.
Listen. I’ve been booted out of I don’t know how many BG’s towards the end of the game, receiving NO honor and NO marks. I don’t even want to hear about rollbacks.
