No realms available on PTR 11.1

PTR is showing as no realm (WOW51900309). Others have told me it works for them.

I’ve tried Scan and repair (this initiated an update), closing and reopening, “turning it on and off again”, creating a new PTR account.

Anything else I can do (possible delete existing PTR accounts)?

As far as I’m aware Customer Support does not assist with PTR issues. You could try posting over in the PTR forum to see if someone may have some info there.

I’ve tried all their solutions so suspect it has something to do with my account. IE all my PTR accounts are showing up as Dragon Flight despite being for 11.1

Note that I can’t raise a direct ticket

This isn’t something you can ticket for. There’s no support whatsoever for PTR.

How’re you determining you have DF PTR accounts? If you’re just reading it out of the Games and Subs portion of your Account page, it doesn’t really mean anything.

You could perhaps try completely removing then reinstalling the PTR client.

This is something that belongs here.

Customer Support have no involvement with any development, and any help in relation to the Public Test Realms need to go there.

I want to try removing the PTR account (I thought you wrote that in your first draft), and for that you need Customer support help, hence the post to the CS forums

I’ve already tried to reinstall, repair etc

The primary function of these forums is to help point players in the correct direction. Unfortunately, there are no GMs on the forums at all and it’s mostly here for players to help other players.

I don’t know that you can remove a PTR account. I’m currently installing the 11.1 version to see if it lets me in, but I’m also off to work shortly, so I might not get a chance to find out until later in the day.

I’d take the advice of others and see if more people are having the same issue over in the PTR forums.

They’ve removed standard accounts for me before so I would presume they can do it to PTR accounts.
Normally I just raise a ticket BUT unfortunately it is not working right now.

I don’t believe that’s the case unfortunately. Not only that, the ability to remove accounts is dependent on some factors and is now something we do ourselves. I don’t believe that GMs are or need to be involved anymore.

That said, I got the PTR installed and there are currently no realms available. I don’t believe that this is in error.

PTR is at the whim of the developers. There is no guarantee of any uptime whatsoever, and there is no support for it. PTR realms are frequently wiped as well (meaning you have to copy your character again). If you run into issues during testing, they’re supposed to be reported in the PTR forum. They will generally try to fix issues that are keeping people from testing (because that’s the point of the PTR), but it’s not something you can make a ticket for, it has to be reported in the PTR forum.

The rest of the discord squad is in there said they can access but to be fair they were talking about yesterday, though this issue has persisted for a few days now from my end.

How? I have EU starter accounts that just keep appearing. #8 at the moment and they only way I have gotten rid of them in the past is contacting customer service.

Then see if they can help you to figure it out. But before I left this morning, there were no realms available.

As others have mentioned, the PTR is not supported and provided “as is”.

That’s why the PTR forums are the correct place to go for issues.

Maybe I’m just getting really unlucky with my timing :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT:

I got it to work. I logged onto my battle.net account and created another PTR account. I couldn’t select it still so I did another delete and reinstall of the PTR in the client and then when I tried to log in this time, it gave me the option to select the new account. Selected it and was finally able to log in.
