when i do heroic dungeons early with (A)(B) friend, then i’m not able to play with (C)(D) friend when they login later, it feels sad when they ask me to join and i reply “sorry i’m saved” so in-truth the NO random dungeon finder prevent me from joining my friends when they needs me, neither i’m able to help anyone who needs help with any dungeon.
i have casual irl friends who have different login schedule in most days so without RDF it’s impossible for me to run heroic dungeon with each of them everyday, and so the no rdf is really hurting my social experience with my in real life friends who i wish to practice and play with in simple party of this game called (heroic dungeons)
and i remember back in original wrath, when real id battle net was new as it made it easy for us to communicate even if someone on alt then the random dungeon finder made me enjoy running dungeons for whole 1year with irl friends & in-game friends.
those poor anti-rdf PLAYERS who lack social skills in the first place are miserably misunderstanding the fact that RDF is a tool to make you meet more people which can improve the social experience and gets you to know more random people and if you gets along you can friend them via real id and run dungeons again later with them through RDF no matter where you play at.
there was 2x use of random dungeon finder
1- to check & mark the dungeon you want to run and queue “this is used to specific dungeon”
2- switch the page and click on Queue without checking anything "this gets you a random dungeon.
when you use the random queue (method 2) as whatever dungeon you join and clear will have a lock on it so that will prevent you from using (method 1) to run that specific dungeon again, However you’re still able to use the (method 2) to get any random dungeon which means you can get that dungeon you’re locked for & re-play it, So even if you’re locked to them all you’ll be able to join your friends to re-play all heroics, however you don’t get 2nd time loot from something you’ve already saved for, so the RDF will not allow the abuse of spam to gets more gear/badges or gold, it will just let you enjoy replaying heroics multi times with all your friends, However it’s less likly you’ll join through the RDF something you’re already saved for unless you’ve cleared them all 1 by 1, so it means you will not face any issue from running something which gives no loot if you have no save to something else.
NOTE: this RDF of original wotlk, it has nothing to do with the current retail one, and this is why i laugh hard when people who never played wotlk 14years ago show hate toward something they have no idea about, i can list lots more of RDF-pro things that is so damn good for everyone
I already answered for that question in advance when i said this…
so during those days, i have to pick among them which is not good for my friendship or social experience, if RDF existed this problem wouldn’t exist as i would be able to play with each party.
In which case, the answer is still: no. Find other content to do together or coordinate so you can do the content at the same time. Blizzard (and the rest of the community) are not obligated to work around you and your friends special schedules.
So you are doing 12 heroic dungeons with friend A and B every day which prevents you from doing heroic dungeons with friends C and D? With that much time on your hands you could have a second level 80 to run with friends C and D.
So if I’m targeting a specific item/ dungeon
I just random join as my healer kill 1 boss and leave when it isn’t what I want leaving everyone waiting 30 mins for another healer while I get instant queues ruining everybodies afternoon. Sounds great for social interaction y’all can talk to each other while you wait on a new healer.
that’s true but…what about if i only have 1char to fully take care about it since achievements is not account shared, or what about if ii have many but i only enjoy playing 1 of them? i mean Sure as i have the time i can have 3x same char to join all my friends But wouldn’t it be simple and easy for everyone to re-join all their friends if Random dungeon finder exists?
still the main point linger “No RDF is hurting my social experince”
nope you can’t do that, i already mentioned that you can’t get item from a 2nd kill. are you anti-rdf this dumb? i know that most of you never played original wrath but this really prove that you’re clueless about the original wrath RDF & you hate it for no genuinely reason.
You’re right! Since you’re the only person that plays wow (or at least the most important person!) the game should change for everyone to accommodate your specific needs!
well…i’m really not into if RDF is good to the game or bad, since that depend on the individual prospective and for sure RDF has it’s pros / cons, But one thing i can’t stand which is the lie about “removing RDF for social aspect” when in-truth NO-RDF hurt my social experience between my real life/in-game Friends.
again you’re saying the same when i already answered you with this…
so i want a feature that existed in wotlk to exist in wotlkc.
Couldn’t say even in retail I’ve never used RDF it can’t be used to queue mythics or raids I’d be down for RDF if it didn’t include heroics and only allowed queues for normals.
Classic WotLK, in its current state, does not have RDF.
You want the current state of the game to be changed to include RDF because you prefer it. Your reasons are that it’s too difficult to schedule times for multiple groups to do content together.
My counterpoint is: no, stop it, swats with newspaper
RDF vs no-RDF isn’t a black and white issue, whether it’s good or bad for the social aspect of a player depends on context.
I would think a lot more players have an improved social experience without RDF overall by getting rid of the issues brought by RDF, like avoiding having to deal with players leaving when they don’t get a dungeon they want or the queue dodgers trying to line up their queues with their friends to get specific dungeons or the fact RDF makes dungeons closer to a farm simulator than an actual dungeon experience, etc. It brings more people into the dungeon finder pool as well, giving more eyes to achievement runs or helping people hunting for specific items.
Saying that RDF has a better social experience for the WoW Classic community overall is just wrong.
If you want RDF, focus on the actual reasons to have RDF.
you know that you can open your friend list to invite 4x friends and queue to the dungeon you wish to go for!, RDF will not prevent you from doing anything you’re doing now or add anything new except “it will teleport you” which basically not a big deal since people fly high within second to reach the stone before they summon.
