People with inconsistent schedules have been playing wow since 2004, so this is nothing new. You can still start your own groups when you have time to play, make friends to add to your friends list and message them when you’re online, join a guild that has a healthy amount of members to play with, join or create a discord server that focuses on finding people to group up with.
The tools are there, and arguably there are more tools available in 2022 than there were 15 years ago.

Supposedly all the surveys blizzard has sent out are online and none of them have any questions about RDF.

This was during TBC. There are copies of the survey online and Youtube if you can to see all the questions.
I received the survey via email.
Searching for either RDF or random dungeon finder lists no surveys on youtube.

I just looked through them (surveys) on wowhead and cannot find anything related to RDF, could you provide a link to the survey ?
All I have seen is people specifically stating that Blizzard never questioned people about RDF or included it in a survey, if I am wrong I need to know.

the developers literally told us “go back to retail if you want RDF” in the announcement of wotlk classic. Talk about a slap in the face for those of us who liked it back in original WOTLK. Because retail is anything like wotlk… its unrecongizable. There was no respect, no “here’s a compromise, one server will have RDF” or anything like that. People who need it because they don’t have the time to spend hours and hours looking for groups or are on dead servers or dead level brackets are just screwed.
I wasn’t able to do a single dungeon while leveling to 58 because my server had like 5 dps people in those zones at the times I was playing. Its a truly awful oversight and really does make me think they’re just doing it so they can sell boosts.

I wouldnt say a certain crowd “cries so much” when you are insulting a whole group of people. Its not even retail because RDF is almost useless in retail because its only used for normal and heroics, 2 difficulties of dungeons the majority of players dont run because you can get as good of rewards for no real effort and instantly jump into mythic difficulty dungeons.
RDF should be for leveling and normal dungeons now and heroics after they ran their course. RDF has absolutely no impact on getting in a guild, or doing content within that guild either. The socialization isnt there.
Also this whole start your own group as an answer to everything can have drawbacks.
There are 2 sides of the pendulum, everyone making their own groups and no one making groups. You want the pendulum in the middle or more towards the more people looking for groups than making their own groups.
But again im not interested in having a guild just for hangouts. I want to actually play the game because some of us have stuff to do and want to make the most out of our game time.

Retail players are an awful gaggle of beaten souls that pay real money to progress and think getting carried through a raid is beating the game. Classic is played by old school mmorpg rules and should continue to do so. If your quality of life systems were healthy for the game, your retail wouldn’t be a laughing stock, the majority of the player base wouldn’t be expecting ever xpac to be garbage and your content would actually be cleared by more than 10% of players. If you dont want a guild to team up with and get to know, mmorpgs are NOT for you. Its not a single player game, something retail players dont seem too get. You have plenty of games to play that are single player, dont come into classic, the last thing this player base has and try to ruin it to fit your selfish desire and schedule. If you don’t have the time or social understanding too play, don’t play.
You seem to be mistaking endgame for leveling. Leveling is an awfully lonely process right now, and RDF has nothing to do with Endgame.
Kind of defeated your own point. Its not filled with people buying carries if only 10% of the playerbase clears the content. RDF is not usable in mythic difficulty dungeons which is what people want to do.
So the system you are taking a dump on isnt even used for the most part because you cant use it so retail is more like what wrath classic has. So care to rethink your argument?
