No range increase = no rogue

im literally saying ret’s range should be removed as well. maybe read my post before baby raging?

So you’re arguing to make your class irrelevant again after almost two decades of being terrible? Well you’re certainly a special type aren’t you?

I retract my previous statement sir. By all means continue or your crusade. I can appreciate someone who is consistent in their arguments.

the increase range doesnt make ret relevant nor was it terrible. literally the only thing ret needed was a defensive buff like DP being baseline, you really dont know about the spec.

Whatever you say bud. I have no interest in arguing with someone trying to cut off his own arms.

I am all about them reducing active ability range IF they are adding a talent like they had in mop where shuriken toss would start and increase combat’s auto attacks by 30 yrds. slap that on pistol shot and call me happy

Acrobatic strikes is like one of the best bloody things about playing a rogue.

Acrobatic strikes is like the old unholy presence for death knights where it made everything feel snappy and felt like it fit.

What a horrible change.

Don’t think it even matters. You still have to be able to hit your primary target to flurry to others. Outlaw is the most punished out of any melee by downtime because of CDR and no dots.

This is 1000% a terrible change

Only because players have been spoiled with talents like Acrobatic Stikes and use it to prop up their AoE damage.

Realistically, if you’re slashing an enemy with a sword, you should be within a few feet, not 5 yards away (15 ft).

“spoiled” sure.

yea because pre legion combat rogue was totally unplayable in dungeons and raids without extra melee range right

The problem is that Acrobatic Strikes was one of the unique feature of Outlaw that made it different from Combat.

The only thing left that is unique to Outlaw compared to Combat is RTB. And RTB is causing massive RNG variance far worse now because they decided to mess with baseline energy regen, AR requiring haste, low chance for second sinister strike, etc.

So the worst part of Outlaw aka RTB remains.

Loss of Acrobatic Strikes, loss of BTE as a ranged stun, loss of CDR for CloS, loss of ranged Run through finisher, etc.

Currently Outlaw is a shell of its former self and is really a husk. Might as well go back to Combat if it is going to be this way. Building a spec around RTB is the dumbest idea ever conceived.

again the variance/rng of rtb is less than sub has for spells like sectech and less variance than ret paladins blade of justice procs. you are malding for .1% differences between rolls

Is this a melee range problem or a mob hitbox problem?

Its a Krill Issue problem.

This is no longer the case, since Shadowlands. You should know that as of now Outlaw has a smaller variance than Sub and Sin

the more people who say that, the longer his ignore list grows

I think this is more down to the set bonus than anything else though. Outlaw feels pretty horrible without it.

I played during the days where rtb has no cd and cost combo points.

When buffs were severly inbalanced, you could be spending cp repeatedly trying to roll true bearing.

When talents like count the odds, loaded dice were not a thing.

The recent tier made it more consistent but RTB had so many changes over the years to improve consistency. If someone is still saying its RNG now its a dead giveaway that they dont play the spec or are just bad.

RTB right now on TWW beta is causing massive variance.

It’s a problem where the entire design of Outlaw revolves around uptime, and missing GCDs is extremely punishing, which isn’t the case for other specs.
