No PvP Gear

Imagine adding 1 item (the headpiece) to the PvP gear loot and calling it quits. Seems like blizzard really put a whole 20 minutes into designing PVP for this phase? Who else is done playing if PVP gear or incentives are not released next phase?

The lack of PVP gear progression has been the biggest problem for Season of Discovery. They did a lot of good with SoD, but this was an abysmal oversite.

There needs to be PVP gear progression that stays on par with the leveling raid gear. Just elongate the grind to where a person becomes fully geared about the same time somebody can get fully geared raiding.

Not really an issue just another cope thread about no pvp gear …

Take 30 minutes to clear a raid… could do it with one hand… and then stomp on the loser like you who refuses to pve for cope reasons

PvP gear is required for the damage Blizz designs PvE around, because in twenty years they still haven’t figured out how to handle balancing both.
Damage mitigation is absolutely required for PvP to not be a one or two button killfest all the way around, and the notion that one needs to PvE for PvP gear is silly. I’m so happy people might actually get a taste of having to PvP for PvE gear so they actually understand the problem.

I do not think it is worth their time to make a separate sets of pvp gear entirely, at least not at these lower levels. They’re already offering some decent epic blood moon stuff.

There’s no need to think you’re better than anyone else because you enjoy a scripted/choreographed/guaranteed outcome slot machine.

PVP gear helped ruin things.

Best option is to force people to get the gear through normal means (actually play the game’s end content) and then use that for pvp. When you separate gear for pve/pvp you devalue it. Make items mean something.

I can see a case of, “you must PvE to PvP,” even if it’s one I personally dislike. I think the two-track system was good for players that only wanted to participate in one bit of content or the other, rather than forcing people to do content they find unrewarding or boring in order to participate in the content they do like.
The issue is one of damage mitigation, however. PvE gear damage is entirely too high for PvP to be anything but a one or twoshot contest without mitigation.

Well normalizing damage needs to be something they look at. Though originally it wasnt THAT bad. It only got bad in TBC when they decided “Big numbers good” and had to put in resilience which messed everything up. Most games just have separate values. One for player one for npc. They should look into doing something like that internally.

I agree wholeheartedly! Stat normalization would be a tremendous boon for PvP and make the entire debate moot.
Blizzard seems adamant in their refusal to do so, however.

were already there. P2 raid loot has nearly no stamina, theres a post noting datamined changes to rfd sm and uldaman loot and robes of the lich now has 0(used to be 20) stam in exchange for sp. classes do significantly more damage in SoD and gear has less hp on it.

Im really hoping they do another flat 20% dr effective in wpvp as well this patch.
