No PvP Gear

Not gonna stop playing. Also how many times does aggrend have to say not to buy in to data mining before people start listening?

They have clearly said that the data mined stuff migh not even be the same on launch and some wont even be in the game. Theres probably stuff we havent even seen yet.

Resilience is fine, so long as it’s global and not a stat on gear. All gear should be viable for all content. Which is why the WSG helm reward is vomit worthy.

If you looked at gnomer loot, there was no helms. So they clearly want everyone to do pvp for their bis helm. Other then that, they don’t care

Aggrend is reiterating today that people are talking about datamined items that aren’t even in the game or completely reworked. People here are wasting their time.

What is pathetic is: your command of grammar.

Because 30 minutes of one single raid will net anyone that wants to PvP the gear to do so.
Imagine this: Fun is subjective. Some people like to PvP. Some like to PvE, Some like to do both. Now this next part might be difficult for you to follow, but the people that like to PvP should not be at a disadvantage in their “world”. If the tables were turned and the best PvE gear came from PvP, you would be crying like a baby (“why do I have to PvP for the best gear when I don’t like it?”).

Get over your self and simple thoughts.

the lack of gear progression is the only thing allowing me to find people who actually enjoy pvp.

Go play retail crybaby. Quit trying to change the way the game is supposed to be. PVP gear isnt here and it shouldn’t be until 60. Just as it was in vanilla. expecting them to cater to your needs like a spoiled spoon fed child and complaining about it constantly will do nothing . Get over it or uninstall.

Yea. Normally I would say that raids should have the best gear.

But SoD raids are barely raids. They have a 3 day lockout, no attunement, and are 10 man. They are so easy to access.

No reason to favor the main PVE content over the main PVP content of the season.

I can understand if they are delaying a full pvp set because of the level cap.

Although I’m not sure how/why that would free them up to make a full set for the raids

Sergeant’s Cloak is PvE BiS for nearly every class atm, a bunch of other items only obtained through PvP rep are pre-BiS and will also be pre-BiS at 40.

This is the way the game works, if you want to have everything that’s in the game, then you need to do everything that’s in the game.

Don’t expect crafted items if you don’t want to craft. Don’t expect PvP gear rewards and trinkets if you don’t want to PvP. Don’t expect PvE raid gear rewards if you don’t want to raid.

I literally PvP so I can PvE so I can PvP even better, and that’s just fine.

Your entire post is backward. Raids in SoD having bis PvP gear works because you can raid without being a cave creature irl.

It’s fine if they don’t add pvp gear but keep the raids short and easy at least until 60. I hate having to pve for pvp gear but at least right now it only takes an hour out of my day

I see why you think that, but I think a better structure is like this.

PVP gear is ilvl 420, and can be upgraded up to 430. Only .01% of players will upgrade it all the way to 30.

PVE gear should be tied to a mythic plus system. Dungeons DESIGNED to be spammed, and be challenging, and be repeatable. And this is the PVE content that should directly compete with PVP. And it should likewise give 420 ilvl and upgrade up to 430 at the highest difficulty.

Raids should be easy to complete. But hard to enter. And should reward gear around 428 ilvl.

It servers as the optional content that bridges together world content, longform quests, zone hopping, reputations ect ect. But only .1% of players should actually complete the raid.

That’s how I think MMOs should be designed.

Also I think the main PVE / PVP content should be available at low levels. But raids only at max level. Because they are sort of replacing questing, get it?

To be fair hasn’t this been the entire approach of SoD? “Let’s do the minimal amount of work towards addressing something, then call it quits”.

Oh believe me, I’m with you. I love every type of play in the game; PvE, PvP, and RP. That’s only fairly recent, though. I distinctly remember loathing PvE content at one point.

I’ve seen tons of players that prefer specific types of content, however, and I never enjoy seeing players alienated from content because they can’t stand an entirely different kind of content.

Exactly.

Well said.

I started this game the same way tbh, joined back in Cata and had been a PvP only player since. I could level up from PvPing, get gear from PvPing, there was no reason for me to step inside a raid and the younger me loved it.

Which ultimately is the problem: there was no reason for me to step outside my comfort zone, and so I never did. Not until I started playing Classic in 2019, and was pressured into tasks and roles I wasn’t comfortable with to ensure the success of myself and my group.

And I’m a much better, more knowledgeable, and well-rounded player who’s getting much more out of the game as a 30 year old with at most 3-4 hours to play in the evening (and is sometimes too tired to even play that much) than I ever did as a barely 18 year old who had both the time and the energy to spend 9+ hours in the game every day.

Retail is garbage.

Lol. If the game is the way it’s supposed to be then no changes, nerfs, buffs, et cetera would happen. You didn’t think much before that reply.

Another poorly thought reply. This is season of discovery, not vanilla. If you want to play that, then play that.

The amount of mental gymnastics you went through to only take 2 steps back
Asking for something is not expecting it. When you can make a logical post, try again.

Oh but it is vanilla, with some discovery sprinkled on it. That’s why I’m playing. Guess what you aren’t getting “PVP gear” anytime soon so like I said play the game or get lost.

Kinda funny to me that there’s so many people arguing “just PvE to get gear for PvP.” If it was the opposite and they needed to PvP to get PvE gear, you bet your backside that they’d be complaining about it non stop. I would mind PvEing for gear a lot less if they actually gave us dual spec so I could be optimal at both, rather than shooting myself in the foot for one or the other.
