“wahhh just let us premade and stomp pugs wahhhh”
No.
Funny that people lauded classic vanilla/tbc for being harder and requiring more skill and yet they only seem to want to make premades so they can get easy brainless wins against disorganized pugs
lmao

Yes hopefully they let people queue premades against other premades exclusively so we can still have this.

This is starting to look like it, no one has really given any good reason as to why this change is put in place.

You have to understand that a lot of people here on the forums don’t understand that you can have fun without winning. They also think that winning against a premade is impossible and give up instantly, when its 100% winnable. Imagine having friends in an MMO and trying to have fun with them lol

you can still que with 4 of your friends.

When they enabled cross faction bg’s, the horde started taking advantage of using premades, on a large scale. This change is actually to stop the alliance from facing horde premades that happened for the entirety of that cross faction bg weekend. Lowering the horde’s queue times opens the floodgates.

We’re a group of ~13-17 people that like to do a bg or two after clearing kara
I think it’s a fantastic change, there are no RBG’s
BG’s are meant to be fairly casual pug pvp. You can still play with friends, you just can’t organize a 100% premade stomp.
I see no downside to this at all, in fact I have been asking for this as long as I can remember

sorry but premades made hordies uncomfortable.
that is not acceptable in the world of hordiecraft

You mean that if I’m playing with a big group of friends it’s automatically competitive and not for fun?

They can’t seem to understand this. Modern gamer mentality “wHy WoUlDn’T yOu MiN mAx It”
Wrong, it was a side effect of enabling cross faction bg’s, during which horde premades of course outnumbered the alliance ones. So that this does not happen again, they are disabling premades during cross faction bgs this time.
Well, if you want to play with a big group of friends, there’s raiding, wPVP, wBosses, and several other things that you can do.
Honestly, I fail to see why this is that big of a deal. If you’re purely doing it for fun, I hate to tell you, but from my experiences over the last 22 years of playing MMOs, you’re in the minority. Most people do it for the “gains” advantage.
i totally understand you, i always did pvp for the fun, not honor, and my guild on phase 6 always did premades events in the weekends to increase the friendship, it was the best phase of classic for me, horde thinks we want premades for the win
i want premades so i dont have to deal with afk bots, afk stupid alliance that just want the reputation so they can get a gear that will replace in a couple of weeks. thats why.

6-10 people can’t join an AB after we do our Kara, Gruul, or Mag runs. We just want to play together and have fun, not exactly be competitive. And apparently there is no downside to this at all?

Yes there is, glad I could clear things up for you. Because other people spam 10-15 man premades 24/7

Blizzard has deemed this an unfair advantage as the vast majority of teams you play against are pugs, and they did not currently have a premade vs premade match system in place during TBC outside of arena.
Blizzards stance on this issue has been clearly outlined since 2012 below is a quote from Community Manager Daxxarri when they broke the mods that helped enable premades
Any addon that enables a full, organized Battleground group to queue against a randomly assembled group is creating a scenario where that coordinated group has a huge advantage. That is not in the spirit of the experience we want to provide in the normal Battleground queue. Playing with friends is fun and important, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of the spirit of the game nor the fun of others.
The normal Battleground queue is for players to jump in and play against other players in a similar situation. We realize that it’s not a perfect system, and we’re still looking at ways to improve normal Battleground queues further. Regardless, it’s not meant for organized groups to “pug stomp” and get quick Honor. We have built in outlets for players that want to organize–if a competitive, social experience was really the goal, then there are clear ways to achieve that.
The ultimate effect that this kind of queuing has had is to drive players away from PvP. Perhaps it’s been a long time since you’ve been in a random group, but a lot of players will see that they’re up against a premade and simply quit. At best, they suffer through it. To an extent premade groups count on this. Heck, one of the popular addons announces opposing players that appear to have rage quit.
Addons aren’t really a viable solution for botting issues, but we do take those issues seriously and we’ll continue our work on improvements to the Battleground system, including better ways to deal with botting and other exploitative gameplay.
