No point in going Mage for WoTLK

The snare nerfs means you’re basically useless in big dungeon pulls and kiting, you can’t boost people either cutting off a primary source of income for most Mage players.

Unless you genuinely enjoy playing a 3 button meme spec, what’s the point of going Mage in WoTLK when Blizzard absolutely gutted their most useful features?

I play my rogue mostly, but I leveled this guy up on a second account to make gold while sitting in bg queues on my rogue. Kinda wasted a lot of time and gold doing this due to the classic andy changes they are proposing. Guess i’ll just use it as an alchemy and tailoring cooldown bot lol. These people are the worst people irl, it’s why we can’t ever keep nice things.

It loses most of it’s survivability that it had in TBC, it dies a lot quicker and the two builds Arcane/Fire are literal 3 button or less specs that just dump out absurd numbers.

It’s fun in the sense that you can play it for a raid or two before realizing that you have to do this for an entire expansion and quit cause you can’t make gold or kite anymore either.

I mean I hate that classic andy’s ruined an entire class pre-expansion for basically no reason, but at the same time, I imagine Ghostcrawler smashing his fist on a table when learning this and it kinda makes it bitter sweet for me.

Everything dies faster in wrath; the burst is insane regardless of gear level.

Thanks for telling us all why you go fire mage.

And here I am on beta pulling Utgarde keep solo as fire.

I wouldn’t expect a boomer to enjoy anything less than a literal slot machine spec.

I can’t really speak on what boomers like.

I know I love fire mage tho!

What are you maining in WotLK?

Take a guess.

Probably rogue. You fit the bill for the stereotypical toxic insufferable rogue player.

No point making these threads.

Literally from the elemental shaman PVE guide for WOTLK.

"The rotation of the class is pretty straightforward and many might call it a no brainer "
