No pets for marksman hunters!

A long, loong blast im sure

The goalposts are the same. You picked a relatively safe area to do your kiting in, compared to a boss like Spinshroom with the exploding spores, the dangerous terrain on the ground, and fighting on a ledge with a cliff.

Post your video doing it with a pet and Iā€™ll post my video doing it without a pet.

please give Dark Ranger to Survival. swap it with sentinel.
And Petless Dual Wield Survival please.

Youā€™re going to need more than one singular test to show this is a true non-issue. There are tons of different situations and honestly even if you can do so, doing so with a Pet would still have been substantially easier in solo content without the need to kite.

Even if Blizzard had done a majority of these changes and left the ability to summon the pet and use it as a tank as we currently could, it would still be better than anything Blizzard could do to the spec to try to make up for the loss of the pet.

I also donā€™t get why the pet couldnā€™t just be summonable still with the changes. If the pet has no talents associated with making it stronger it would still be the meta to not have your pet out.

Also why an eagle? Why not just the stabled pet?

Itā€™s not one singular test, Iā€™ve played MM without a pet since before Dragonflight. I donā€™t have any issues.

Maybe for you, but not for most of us. Just because you hate pets and like to tank mobs with your face, does not mean the rest of us do.

Then what were all those RP servers made for? Why bother with transmog or a choice in what mount to ride? Why make ingame chairs you can sit in or dogs and cats that can be ā€˜pettedā€™? Why even bother with making cities if everyone supposedly is going to be in a M+ dungeon or a raid all the time?

you like moving the goal post everytime your wrong dont you

Prior to Legion he was listed as BM it was the change in Legion for Survival to melee that retconned him to Survival .

That is a poor example as you will have Bran tanking. I mean, I agree that this is the crappiest Boss you can face as a solo MM but even so, tanking Bran is going to change a lot of things people are complaining about in Delves.

Wellā€¦ if there were more RP servers than normal servers that might be a valid point. But there arenā€™t. This does imply that the RP community, while vibrant in this game (there are plenty of other games where itā€™s not even close), is not even close to the majority.

As for the others. Transmogs and Mounts are kinda core to every game out there. Not sure what that has to do with the post you are rebutting. Thatā€™s not RP. Thatā€™s gamer mentality.

Not unless Brann can heal himself more than the Spinshroom does damage - which kind of defeats the purpose of their addition.

You arenā€™t wrong but we have no idea how tough Brann will be at this stage.

Besides which, this chain was in reply to the guy who said he was killing lizards on a Ledge. Spinshroom is a crap boss but with Brann as heals or tank that kinda adds a variable that make using Spins as a counter to be slightly less valid.

So just screw all the solo and Delve MM enjoyers, huh?

ā€œJust play BMā€ isnā€™t a solution. BM is boring.

So you are willing to throw the Rp community under the bus just so you can get rid of a pet that you donā€™t want them or the MM players who use their pets to tank mobs to have? Not even the OPTION to keep them?

Well, Blizzard have certainly done so. They redesign and balance classes based on M+ and Raiders. If they get a massive exodus of players because of this change then theyā€™ll know they are wrong. But that is exactly where their sights are set on right now.

The rework was needed because the class is not performing. Maybe not as bad as Ret Pallies sucked until Mid DF, but I see this change as possibly just as critical. And if the price of the change is that ā€œthe loreā€ or ā€œthe RPā€ is a casualty, then unfortunately Iā€™ll take it.

Removing options where there were previously options is almost always a terrible idea.

Removing the pet from a class that uses pets constantly and was its primary thing throughout the games life cycle while giving them a ā€œforcedā€ eagle pet that gives the same things the old pet of your choice could give you is the definition of stupidity. Especially when they already have the tech to take your pet from your stable and have it do something then retreat back into the stable.

There are so many other options for them to bring MM up to ā€œparā€ than to cutout a portion of their populaces playstyle.

The ā€˜priceā€™ does not mean having to take pets from MM hunters. Leaving the option to summon pets is not harming the anti pet side a bit. Taking them is hurting a lot of people who, for up to 20 years now have had pets as MM hunters and cherished them.

Again, going to need a source. This game has gone through many ups and downs of player participation. You suggesting all of those are because of me? LOL.

I never said the price was trivial. Iā€™ve even gone on record HERE that I also think the removal of choice is a bad idea. But unfortunately, that is the price that Blizzard is asking the MM Hunter to pay.

Yes, its going to hurt a LOT of people. I donā€™t deny that. But for many years we have had an underperforming Spec. This will hopefully change that.
