I forget which rise it’s on but there are or was portals halfway down one side of the cliff. big hole in the wall.
Yesterday when I heard it wasn’t locked behind WM all I thought is, “let the meltdown begin.”

That’s a you problem. Drop your flag.
You aren’t put into Warmode, you can drop your flag outside if Stormwind. Instead, you chose to run around with it and do stuff.
This is why I have zero sympathy for anyone dramatic about being flagged. You aren’t in Warmode. And unless you purposely run into zombies or roaches or open a crate, you aren’t getting killed by players. And unless you decide to not drop your flag, you aren’t getting killed by players.
Everyone should know how to drop a flag by this point without standing around for five minutes. There’s absolutely zero excuse.
As someone who hates PvP and refuses to ever use Warmode… if you’re leaving the game over a flag you can easily drop, then either you’re just here to be dramatic or you were already leaving anyway and this rant is moot.

Zombie invasions are pretty darn inconvenient, immersion achieved!
Yes, for this week only, you’re given the opportunity to have fun and being forced to PVP for an event.
You can complain and be upset… or you can leave the area… or you can try to have fun.
I don’t PVP, but I’ve had a blast exploding in the AH.
OK so if a horde player comes into the city, can it attack the flagged players? The people that were forced into having the PVP turned on?

So leave. You have options. You aren’t forced to stand there and take it.
Uhhh… the explosion doesn’t kill YOU. The zombie explosion kills the zombie and infects you.

I was there for the original and I had a great time.
There are really things you can do to make this event fun for literally one week but people are getting all bent out of shape about it.
What could you possibly be doing the last week of expansion that is THAT important?
Its the end of the expac. Go have fun qith your friends. We played zombie hide and seek last night in Stormwind and it was SO MUCH FUN.
At least just TRY.
You choose to not have fun. You could just as easily choose to have fun with it.
So a few things I noticed, the back part of Org with the other bank and AH seemed to have less zombies, I would see them up front and almost none back there. Also I found getting a flying start and charging into the portal room keeps you flying to ALMOST the bottom and you can dodge a lot of it. I was a bit irritated that there seemed to be Zombies spawning in the portal room though, that seems a bit much. The pvp thing though, this is my biggest gripe, being autoflagged for pvp at times when I dont want to pvp annoys me. I havent been ganked yet, and hope i dont, but if im leveling or working on my alts gear etc I dont wanna be flagged.

World PVP never happens unless one side is massively outnumbered or quest/respawn camping and the other sides are masochists/getting camped.

Force pvp players into pve content for years and no one bats and eye.
flag pve players for a week and everyone loses their minds.

As an adult I find the event pretty boring and a waste of game time. Everything after testing characters at 50 for the first week has been a waste of game time when we’ll all be no-lifing SL starting next week and invalidating all of the pre-patch gear(if you even need it).
I especially hate this event for being a worse version of the Wrath one(no unique item rewards), while also showing how lazy nu-Blizzard is reusing content because they either lack resources or the creativity to come up with something new.
If I want to hate play something right now League just changed the entire game with a new item shop so I’ll stick with that until next week when I might get some enjoyment out of WoW other than the dopamine hits from the sound of opening M+ chests.

You know what hasn’t been called in a while?..The Whaaaaambulance. I’d list the number of PvE things that PvP’ers are forced to do (especially in SL), but it would exceed the character count.
