No one is forcing you to pvp

It does though

WoW is a PvE game, not sure why you’re at all surprised that an afterthought system isn’t as smooth as the real part of the game. Go play a real PvP game, designed from the ground up as PvP, if you don’t wwant to be a second class citizen. Otherwise don’t be surprised when people complain about being forced into PvP, especially when Daddy Blizz outright stated you’d have to be in warmode to be affected. :hear_no_evil::speak_no_evil::see_no_evil:

  1. PvP players have long had to engage in PvE content, against their will, to be competitive in PvP. “PvE” has been invading their preferred playstyle since basically always.

  2. You can PvE during this event. Dungeons are still open for business, raids can still be cleared with impunity, and for the most part you’re safe outside of capital cities. The only thing you can’t do is AFK in SW/Orgrimmar, and possibly the Auction House will require you to go to… a different city.

1: this has always been a pve game, go play a pvp focused game if you want to stick to pvp

2: honestly who is going to be stupid enough to actually afk in sw/org during this event? you deserve to get killed

I’m not trying to avoid it? I pointed out the hypocrisy of pvers crying they had to have a week with minute amount of potential pvp.

  1. Not relevant, but good try. PvP is in the game, whether you want to play it or not, and currently there’s an event going on. Simply avoid the very specific areas and you, too, can avoid content you don’t feel like doing.
  2. I can only imagine the people who’ve been complaining to high heavens. They seem to be aware of the event, then go directly to the heart of it and complain that it’s happening.

There’s not enough zombies right now to worry about AFK’ing being an issue. And even then, the guards run over if they attack a player from farther away then they would typically. It’s hard to even get a hit on a scourge before a guard runs over and takes it out.

1: just pointing out what ive said before and ill say again: having pvp =/= making it a pvp game.

2: thats like afking in hellfire peninsula then complaining about a reaver gank.

The thing is that you seem to be arguing a premise that neither has any bearing on things nor is it relevant to the points I’ve made.

WoW doesn’t need to be a PvP game to have a zombie invasion event. They’ve done this event twice before already, and it wasn’t a PvP game then, either. If you’re reaching for a point, I’m not sure what it is. It’s not a drinking game but it has a world event related to it. Now we have a limited time-only PvP event.

If someone doesn’t want to play that event then the answer is the same as it has always been. Do not go to the location that the event is taking place in.

Well… to be honest this is how I feel about all the people complaining about the event. Why go there if you didn’t want to engage the event?

who says im complaining? im staying in icecrown for now farming rares when i do log in

I didn’t strictly mean you are complaining. Just in general I don’t get the people who are complaining about 0.5% of the game world being occupied, then proceed to go there anyway, and then complain about experiencing the event… that they could have avoided.

fair enough, i misread the response to my fel reaver comment

All those complaining about this minor event would have had their heads explode during the Corrupted Blood incident.

They couldn’t handle an XBox 360 Live party while playing CoD MW2.

i got on my death knight to kill nathanos so i had to do the quests that unlock it, during said quests you need to kill zombies, as it turns out the area where you do this is full of infected players going around killing people, so i was killed a few times, i just explode myself and rez, but remember if you die more than once you get a respawn timer, so i had to stand there waiting for my respawn to go over.

so yeah you can choose to not BE a zombie but like it or not you are an unwilling participant if youre just trying to do questing in the main hubs, and every one participating in the zombie event will make sure to include the unwilling participants, ESPECIALLY the unwilling participants.

people on here clear one mythic 12 dungeon and pay two tokens for aotc every patch and then come on here and say “PvP is a mini game, nobody does it, it’s actually good that mythic raid trinkets one shot arena players, they earned it.”

unbelievably stupid individuals lmao
