No one doing Operation Gnomeregan?

When I did this event back in 2010, Dun Morogh was PACKED, and I was on a small RP-PVE server (Blackwater Raiders). Now I’m doing it on Grobbulus, and Dun Morogh is a ghost town. Does no one care about it anymore?

I think it’s because a lot of people are not aware of it right now, that and it’s Tuesday and a lot of people are heading into ICC.

Also people are either waiting for Cata, left or just raid log ICC.

I’m quite sure people don’t even know it’s happening. No post about it on the game’s forums.

It’s literally advertised on the game launcher…

It’s showing me Plunderstorm. I don’t scroll through launcher ads. lol

I did it yesterday with two other players. I think there’s just a ton going on with alternate game modes and news cycles. Just a guess.

So are things like scheduled maintenance, yet you can always count on a flood of “why can’t I play the game?!” threads

Point being, people don’t pay attention to the launcher

You get a toy and a cloak from it.
But I expect that expectations from back at original release compared to now are tempered some what.

I saw people doing it just as it became available, but thats it really.

Maybe. My guild is no longer raiding on WotLK and is playing SoD while we wait on Cata. Still, people love achievements so I thought they would log on to do it.

Doing the individual quests, I saw like 2-3 other people doing them. But for the actual event, there were about 15 of us. Not packed by any means, but not entirely dead. I did it on Faerlina horde yesterday, and Firemaw alliance today.

Some people keep pretending I have 9k posts and flipping out over it while you actually have over 9k and no one seems to care. Odd. Edit: A guy below guy has over 27k, so everyone obsessing over my post count; go bother that guy instead.

This. Also, people not even be aware the event is for wrath, given the fact that most crap they advertise isn’t. Would have been nice if wrath had its own section, but they don’t want to do that, as they want to advertise everything else to us.

I also post normal sane messages. It’s the responses back that are toxic drivel. Thanks for taking the bait to help prove the point. I knew a clown would.

There were only 2 others doing the horde version last night during “prime” raid time. After that, I swapped to an alt and it was just after the earlier raids finish and there were a lot more people. It’s way faster to complete the final event with a lot of people for sure.

Pretty sure most don’t even know it’s happening. Word of mouth probably got the most people to do it.

SOD is packed. Especially with the big 100% xp boost people are working on alts before phase 3.

Yeah, I’ve been mainly playing SoD too since my guild is done with WotLK. Unfortunately my SoD server Chaos Bolt is currently in turmoil as Blizzard has decided to kill it off for no good reason.

Well, first off I didn’t know this is a repeated event. I thought it was something brand new and fresh so thats underwhelming.

But also, what is the purpose of it? I read it and I see it on my launcher but…what is the point of it? Its end of xpac and cata is coming soon, what is the goal with the event?

I am genuinely asking because I still don’t know and so far dont have the motivation to care to even make my way to Ironforge

“28,000 post guy” big-leaguing people
