It’s way too common that top kills is <3 kills. Why would I want to play that as a dps?
Healers shouldn’t be able to save nearly everyone even if they are being CC’d, it’s boring. Healer tops in 2gcds as soon as they get out of CC either by it being broken by 1 of the 100s of AOEs in the game or it simply expiring. Healer should have to triage and make decisions about who lives. No one dies, the only point of doing dmg is making people press buttons so CC can stick when you need to cap something or keep people out of circle, which again is frustrating in a random group where 2-3 people will just zug zug and break cc anyway.
The games are also too fast. Half the game is done by the time you manage to kill 1 person. It feels super bad.
I’ve been gearing a BDK alt recently, and I’ve queued some Blitz for Conquest. I have noticed that, even when I can control an enemy Healer the whole game, we still often lose.
Why? What’s the excuse now, when one of the supposedly “OP” Healers has literally been dragged off into Narnia? The enemy team can have no Healers in a crucial team fight, and are also effectively forced to play down 1 Healer for the rest of the game - how do we lose?!
Answer: DPS do no DPS.
Healers aren’t the problem. This is DPS cope. Even when 1 of the 2 enemy Healers is perma-banned from the game by a BDK, DPS still can’t kill anything? Get gud, scrubs.
Healers are immortal gods and it needs to be fixed, look at arenas no one dies till like 40-50% dampening. But the problem is you nerf healers hard like imo they need a 30-40% heal reduction. Everyone who plays a healer now and thinks they are live lords will quit the game when they can actually get targeted.
Also btw I play a healer and still think they need a 30-40% heal nerf. In no world should my insta cast heals hit for 3+ mil with dampening. It is ridiculous.
No? People fight over objectives, it’s just that the game is tuned around dampening so nobody can really die a lot of the time so you have these boring ten minute stalemates until somebody cheeseballs a base with something like a rogue.
Brawling/fighting is weak, cheesing caps with cc heavy specs is strong.
I was in a fight at a DWG node that was healer/dps vs. healer/dps. It was going absolutely nowhere, so I just peeled off to something else. Felt bad for the healer I left behind, but what else are you supposed to do?
I imagine this is what shuffle/arena would look like if there was no dampening.
There are always more nodes than there are healers, and flag carriers accumulate dampening pretty quickly.
What you want is to have fun bashing into the other guy, you know like a BATTLEFIELD should feel like. But the game wants you to win objectives, and you do that by being where your opponent isn’t.
For a whole rainbow of reasons (most of which stem from players not being told how to play, by the game they are playing) healers seem strong in your bracket.
This is a good opportunity for you to beat them by not engaging. If the healer is sitting Market that’s at an opportunity cost of leaving the other 4 nodes unhealed.
But yeah I hear you. Its frustrating not to be able to play the way you want to play. A tdm fistfight mode would be pretty cool but isn’t in line with the 20 year old vision being barely maintained by a barebones team.
People definitely die in team fights. Kotmogu is prob the only one where people don’t because it’s a huge map and everyone is split up, so you get 2v2 no damp fights sometimes.
Now that I think about it. Kotmogu sucks. They need to get rid of that crap entirely.
There are going to be skill issues for most the the ladder. The game only being satisfying when players at a certain skill level is not good for the longevity of the game. Reducing my criticism to “whining” is not intellectually honest. These are problems that exist for 12/16 players per lobby for probably 90% of the ladder. That is worthy of criticism.
I honestly just want balance between interests. I want it to be objective based, I want healers to continue to be impactful, but I also want people to die more often. Healers can save nearly everyone right now. They don’t have to know who has defensives, they don’t have to know who on their team has burst ready. They don’t have to worry about positioning at all because if they get focused they can usually live-lord in a pug environment. It’s a mess until 1900+ when people use voice. It takes FOREVER to get there if you didn’t get placed there. Most players will just avoid the gamemode if it comes to that and the shiny new thing isn’t so new and shiny anymore.
Having to just go to where there are no healers to get anything done under 1800 means that there is an issue with the gameplay. Anyone with a decent amount of PVP experience knows that the game is balanced around dampening because healers simply wouldn’t play the game if they didn’t get to livelord.
It’s really funny how everyone here who doesn’t see this side of it is a healer.
They just tell you to git gud. I am a 90th percentile player in shuff - I was like 98th percentile on rogue in SL in LFG.
