220 from across the ditch in NZ and that combined with a dislike of Twitchy PVP means I am not even bothering with the event. I like my PVP slower paced and less twitchy and more strategic such as in World of Warships.
Unplayable on 200MS - cant dodge orbs or quake stun despite our models being outside the animation.
Around 180-220ms.
The main problem is our crap internet thanks toā¦ THE LIBERAL GOVERNMENT (who are actually conservative and obey the whims of Rupert Murdoch. Donāt let the name fool you).
OCE rise up
Itās not tab targeting though thatās the difference
Office of Continuing Education?
I donāt understand why you guys donāt have servers. Hey, tons of dead servers or super low population servers exist, they could just migrate a whole lot of the low population/no population away onto a newly formed large server and free up those old ones for Oceana if theyāre unwilling to create new ones.
Time to make our own version, Down Understorm!
The claim that the absence of Oceanic servers renders Plunderstorm unplayable is a dramatic overstatement that fails to recognize the resilience and adaptability of the gameās community. While server proximity can indeed affect gameplay, especially in a skill shot-centric game like Plunderstorm, itās far from rendering it unplayable. Many players from the OCE region have demonstrated remarkable skill and ingenuity, adapting their playstyle and strategies to overcome latency challenges. Furthermore, the gameās developers are continuously working on optimizing the netcode and matchmaking systems to provide a smoother experience for all players, regardless of their location. Itās important to acknowledge the efforts of both the players and the developers in making Plunderstorm an enjoyable experience for everyone.
Hereās a list of tips for OCE players to enhance their Plunderstorm experience despite server challenges:
šÆ Practice precision aiming to minimize the impact of latency on skill shots.
š”ļø Utilize defensive strategies to buy time for accurate shots.
š Experiment with different characters and abilities to find those that are more forgiving of lag.
š¬ Communicate with teammates to coordinate attacks and cover each other's latency-related weaknesses.
š¶ Optimize your internet connection by using a wired connection and closing unnecessary background applications.
š Consider using a VPN or gaming proxy service to potentially reduce ping.
š® Use game settings to lower graphics and increase performance for a smoother experience.
ā±ļø Play during off-peak hours when server load is lighter and latency may be reduced.
š Focus on improving game sense and strategy, which can compensate for some of the challenges posed by higher ping.
Get out of here you troll xD Come play some time
Plunder deez nuts
Not sure of the general opinion, but I suspect some are asking for an actual Oceanic server which is for Oceanic players only. That way we would play with decent ms. Even if our population is smaller, its a small zone and its quite probable we could fill it from our Oceanic player population.
South American players wouldnāt be put on it.
OCE continue to rise up we need this
Please add OCE servers! 200 ms is awful to try and land skill shots!
I got really excited about Plunderstorm and reinstalled retail because of it - only to find out itās unplayable on OCE. Itās frustrating and unenjoyable to play with delays and be at a sizeable disadvantage comapred to everyone else.
Why exclude OCE players?
EDIT: Wanted to give props to the devs, this is a really fun gamemode. And after giving it another go: it is kinda playable from Australia, but you have to deal with rubber-banding players and deceptive hitboxes / getting hit by stuff nowhere near you. Still disappointing to not have dedicated Aussie servers.
keep the dream alive, until someone crushes it of course
They really should have given you guys servers its not like they donāt have the infrastructure in place the only thing I can think of is they thought your queues would be to long
Not to sound dumb but what does OCE mean?
Oceanic so countries like Australia
