Of course not. They are brain dead and mind numb at the same time. The sad thing is they all look so stupid trying to peddle thru the Q&A then wound up sounding even more stupid than before. Not to mention the one with the annoying voice. I don’t think the game is in a real healthy state right now and they don’t want to admit it.

really the customization thread is not 100% or something greater than that, so it was a good moment at the beginning, but believe me your reasons in this game were only political and not for the best experience of the game, which is what that disappoints me, annoys me and makes me angry so Blizzard again lied to us.
I want to know who this Matt Lawson fellow is.

I sat down yesterday and I did few basic changes to Zandalari female model.

I added normal eye option (but it still gives impression that it’s glowin, it’s just not so over the top)

I edited the original hairstyle because the crescent moon side hair looked very fake to me

Sort of wish I could learn how to draw and do stuff like that. I wish blizzard would let artists do their thing in stuff like addons at least. I saw some good Tauren warlock art and Yaungol art. It feels bad to have to rely on them for that stuff ingame.

I wanted serpent themed jewelry for trolls and funny enough you can kinda get it via hunter gear from Antorus. They could just repurpose that asset change the color/ size/ turn it upsidedown and you have very lazy troll customization :

i just want my dark iron dwarf to have the same level of tattoo customization as regular dwarfs not all tattoos need to be a shade of grey against my already grey skin. not a huge ask

Look at games that are also old but with so much better customization than WoW still like Aion, Tera, and FF14. It’s not a case of not having enough resources I think, it’s a case of poor management decisions. Way too much time invested in making several new mounts while character customization is abandoned again. WoW is by far the game with the most need for even more customization updates.

How can blizzard maximize shareholder profits? Make a new pretty mount and throw it on the store.
Subs are down? Tie that mount to a six month subscription to inflate sub numbers even if those players aren’t playing.
But blizzard hasn’t put any charaxter customization options on the store, and I’m pretty sure people would riot even harder if they did
No instant monetization = some corporate bean counter said not to do it. And that sucks. They dangled this to sell expansion copies, and once we bought the expansion, they yanked it away.

Just flat out putting character customization options up for sale as microtransactions would feel less cynical at this point, rather than the insinuation that this is a corporate mandate to hold an easy crowd-pleaser hostage until they start bleeding subs again, which is the most believable theory to me.
Then again, the kind of mounts and cosmetics Blizzard (and other studios) sell on a storefront tend to look so needlessly blinged out to entice buyers that it ironically dissuades me from wanting to use them.

All-new customization options for characters will be available, from varied skin tones to facial features, new tattoos, hairstyles, earrings, and more. Just visit your friendly appearance agitator in Oribos, or the local barber shop back on Azeroth. It’s time to give your main a makeover.
Pretty vague and non-specific and for the majority of the old models this was done to bring them up to the quality of the newer races.
I’m sorry you and a vocal minority of players didn’t get what you specifically wanted in this x-pac in regards to cosmetics but I think you are overstating things just a tad.
Also comparing this to no Diablo IV announcement is a bit much.
There are plenty of other MMOs out there with great character customisation and if you’re not really playing wow for the story and gameplay (ie: systems) then what’s stopping you from leaving?
Vote with your wallet if it’s that important.

They never directly stated new options would come in Shadowlands, they simply said they’d come later after the expansion released. Blame yourselves for reading into the statement and making your own assumptions.
Obviously you haven’t seen the constant forum complaining about Viera and Harothgar not having the ability to have visuals for all hats and head wear.
That was later on.
They’re afraid of the truth and rather not do research to educate themselves. This goes on a large ratio scale believe it or not sadly.
I’m saying it as in general not something specific on races especially those two.

Nope just at the advertising material for the game.
I think the Maw and Torghast is hot garbage. I’m annoyed with the scaling issues for old content.
But the whinging and whining is driving me mad. Especially when it gets so badly exaggerated

It should not be hard to understand why people are upset about this, especially after Blizzards answer and after all their interviews. It was something many people were hyped for.
The best answer we now have is: Wait 2 more years, perhaps you will get something.
Like you said, it’s not like Torghast or the Maw are so brilliant.
