Fact is, Blizzard sucks at any kind of evergreen content.
And people are getting sick of being on the treadmill.

As a huge fan of customization in any game, what a gut punch. So many races need love here, and all races should still be getting something new every once in a while.
I wonât act like I know how hard it is to make new hairstyles or eye colors, etc., but câmon, there are plenty of MMORPGs out there that have more options than WoW, and this game has been going since 2004. Just crazy to think about.

Except we actually got customization. A lot of it too. Itâs not like we didnât get anything. We just didnât get even more than we already did.
Some races got customization.
Some, like pandas, got one hairstyle and the already available dk fur colors
Nightbirne, which already have the fewest options in the game, and were promised updates since the beginning of BFA got absolutely nothing.
SOME races got customization. It certainly wasnât equal across the board and that comes across as half-assed and bait-and-switch.
Players were happy to wait for trickle updates through shadowlands, but being told, no, you got nothing and you get nothing more sucks.

I wish blizzard at least did updates to lightforged dranei, highmountain tauren and nightborne. Those at the very least need it out of all the allied races.

Look. They thought they could give us customizations. They had like 82 of them all ready to go.
But the guy who has to approve them has been busy. And depressed. Itâs the whole COVID thing. He hasnât opened his inbox in like six months. He canât work at home. His kids are Tik-Toking with his computer and making more money than he does. His mother keeps forgetting about the virus and yelling at him to come take her out for a martini. Heâs gained 37 pounds of homemade sourdough weight and his wife is flirting with her online fitness bike instructor.
So we arenât going to get customizations until this guy gets his life back together. He doesnât even know players are unhappy. He never reads feedback from anywhere because creative geniuses need safe space. And bread.

This is why I no longer get excited for blizzcon like i used to. They never deliver on the promises, or only deliver half of what they hype.

Canât wait to see them spread around already developed assets in 7 years. Seems like thatâs what weâll get - the bare minimum every time. The last major Player Race revamp was in WoD, and they still didnât bother updating Goblins or Worgen to that standard until BFA, in spite of forum posts that had so much response they hit the cap at least once.
The Allied Races are underwhelming at best and barely functional at worst, and the sheer ignorance of the development team in thinking that a heavily-skewed rollout of player character options this time around was âenoughâ is depressing. I guess weâll see more options in patch 14.1 or some garbage like that.
Singlehandedly tanked my enjoyment of the con. Canât wait to see the next MMO to crop up, given that each new one that comes out seems to actually bother with not only baseline character customization far and above what WoW gets, but then supplements them with additional cosmetic items that are more accessible and better implemented than WoWâs. With the addition of those Shadowlands cosmetic profession hats released on launch, on top of what we already got in terms of customization options, it really was starting to feel like this was the expansion they were going to focus on new player designs on multiple fronts - and their clarification now is âNah, we delivered the bare minimum and weâre doing no more. Suck it.â

I agree and Iâd rather new and rushed raid and dungeon content get pushed out in favor of fulfilling their promise of continued character customization.

This addition is not hard, itâs not expensive, it doesnt conflict with balancing pvp or covenants or raids.
Blizzard is choosing to hold this easy crowd pleaser hostage in case they bleed subs and will whip it out in an emergency.
Your argument has been proven wrong over and over.
And people HAVE made new hairstyles. In five minutes.
