No New Customizations is the "Don't you guys have phones" of 2021

They did add new customization options. Or did you just start playing in the prepatch so you didn’t realize that a lot of that troll customization was new? And no, they said they weren’t bringing more customization in Shadowlands, they didn’t say they don’t have plans. What are you even talking about, why are you just perfectly fine with arguing with lies?

Oh just pointing out they make big promises for customization and constantly just abandon it :frowning:

WoW wasn’t built for even a fraction of the systems you now see ingame, but that hasn’t stopped them from coming into being now has it?

Just because historically it has not had a load of customs doesn’t mean they haven’t been moving in that direction and promising more. They have promised more and failed to deliver. The more they hold out on offering customizations, the more people will start getting frustrated by a lack of expanded options that other games offer.

Those weren’t meant. They said if after those were released. They meant during Shadowlands and they asked specifically then for feedback. The date is too see on twitter and here in the forum.

WoW is a MMORPG. That’s what those games literally are made for.
I’ve seen you’ve given up. Stop simping, trolling and spamming.
Blizzard said they will ad new customization options during Shadowlands and after it. They asked the players for feedback.
Now they’ve said they don’t have any plans.
Stop it.

You’re just wrong. I’m actually gonna block you because you’re just ignorant, and ignorance is annoying when it’s on purpose. Goodbye, and good luck.

Honestly this blizzcon just feels like a big ol slap to our faces. ignoring big issues and what the community wants (stoppping bots, more customization) because that requires effort. Effort Blizz doesnt want to put in because people will still play this forsaken game.

Theyre so out of touch it’s unreal. I absolutely love the customizations they did for Shadowlands, but some of their choices or even additions make no sense to me, like why cant Undeads get the same hairstyles as humans do? We can get the same skin tones (or closest to) but can’t change the hair or even the facial structure like humans do…

EDIT: Oh and beards! PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I WANT BEARDS ;-;

Tell that to transmoging. :stuck_out_tongue:

We literally saw Shadowlands get delayed because of player feedback, not because Blizzard themselves thought it was a good idea. Heck they more then literally really didn’t want to push it back because of the fact that it would really upset their shareholders. But in the end, that good faith paid off. You build a community around good faith. It’s how World of Warcraft grew so big in the first place. I don’t know about you, but during the early days, they often interacted with the community and listened to player feedback, and it’s how they got as big as they did back in the day. These days they just seem so out of touch and near impossible to get ahold of.

Ironic considering you’re the only one who is wrong here.

You don’t like facts. Even though you can see their statements online and look it up. I gave them feedback when they asked and after they said they want to release more customization options (after the ones we’ve gotten). But I’m the ignorant one. Of course.

That could be true, but a slider customization means completely rebuilding models and how they work, and despite what a lot of people may say. That is a lot of work and time. Nothing they’ve ever added really broke the core world/models/assets of the game. They may update models and make things HD, but it’s always very much so “world of warcraft” adding new UI stuff, or new gameplay systems are very different and don’t require you to rebuild the entire game from ground up.

That’s not even true.
There are different possibilities.
One simple example:
Have two models (they often already exist): Boom solved.

But no one expected this. Even though it would be cool.

And yet there is a plethora of customs that dont require sliders that are entirely possible and easy to implement aaaand yet they consistently don’t. No excuse for that.

Ignorance is bliss. The funny thing is, anytime someone brings up the quotes online of Ion and the art dev’s interview. They seem to forget that it was before the prepatch was even out, and since the game AND prepatch got delayed. They released the customization meant for the release of shadowlands, in the prepatch. I’m not just speaking because I’m upset about something. I actually put some thought into my arguments because I don’t jump on a hate bandwagon without actual context or fair proof. Sorry guys!

Watch out guys we have an intellectual here.

I get the feeling that if they would have released half of the customizations in Prepatch, and then released the other half during Shadowlands, yall would be happy.

That’s a lie. No one was talking about that.

Edit: The best thing would be to ignore him. Don’t let this topic be shut down because of one person.

Wow wasn’t built to be a rogue-like game, either but they sure rammed that through and told us it would be “fun”

Being upset doesn’t make you correct, sorry! And that won’t change! But here’s hoping that Blizz adds more customizations guys! Woo!

Reeeeally really bummed we’re not getting anything new. Feels like quite a bit of races are like, half done in terms of customization, but they just stopped? Can’t rest on their laurels forever.

Once upon a time, they couldn’t even so much as touch the coding for the main 16 slot bag we all started off with when we first started playing because it would “break something”. Same thing with the auction house and especially the character creation. Now, you can actually freely swap your 16 slot bag for a 32 slot bag very easily if Blizzard decides to let you swap out your main bag for any crafted bag. Same deal with the auction house. Now they can very easily implement any changes they want now that they reworked it from the ground up.

Now, look at shadowlands and the insanely huge rework they did with character customization. The thought of being able to change your druid forms with the click of a button was unheard of for the team back in the days. What they essentially did was make it so they can very easily implement any new change or thing they want in to the character customizations. It’s only a matter of having someone actually working on it.

As this reddit post shows, Blizzard can easily pump out new customizations if they actually put the work in to it and easily add it it. Literally they just need to hire two or three people dedicated towards making the options and bam, everyone is happy.
