No more underground zones please

They should make underwater zones instead!

Vash’jr was nice. I would like to see a modern interpretation.

We should also remove Undercity and give Lordaeron back to the Alliance. Hallowfall is about the only underground zone I truly enjoy.

Bingo! It is called The War Within afterall…

I hate that zone with the heat of 1000 suns. The one time I ran it for loremaster I spent most of my time trying to find my way back to the quest hubs. If Blizzard never does another zone like that it’ll be too soon.

That feedback would be useful for when they make the next underwater zone!

I 100% disagree! The underground of tww is amazing! I want more!

We must go deeper.

We are 100% getting more underground zones in TWW. It’s kind of the whole schtick.

I don’t like it either. Ringing Deeps and Spiders are awful areas to be in and I dip as soon as I complete whatever task I had to do there. Hallowfall is decent in some areas and basically just Spiderzone-Preview in others.

I hope they get it out of their system with TWW and don’t make an underground zone for several expansions afterward.

Caves as part of a zone are fine. The zone being a big cave gets old extremely fast, to me.

I also feel like TWW underground zones have an awkward problem where you’ll be skyriding just fine and then poof you’ve been dismounted because the big cave you were flying in is now considered an actual indoors cave and the threshold isn’t nearly obvious enough because it’s the same damn thing.

That is actually one of my favourite zones. I can’t say I love underwater combat, but I did like the zone itself. I have loved the oceans since playing Ecco when I was just a kid. Having Thalassophobia makes it even more fun, too. You get to enjoy that fear and unease from interacting with something that scares you but in an environment you are perfectly safe.

I like Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall and Azj-Kahet!

Ringing Deeps has a magic to it I can’t describe. The parts of Ringing Deeps without Foliage and Greenery reminds me of Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes though clearly superior.

Azj-Kahet reminds me of Dread Wastes. That said it is superior to Dread Wastes which was honestly awful.

That said it is time to explore the Zones for exploring sake not Questing sake so off I go!

Dude it’s literally called “The War Within” as in… the war within azeroth. Should be no surprise that it’s full of underground zones

Personally, I like the zones in this expansion more than I did on most the others. I really enjoy zones that are more three dimensional than we typically have.

that is what i was thinking, but this last week, the ptr has arrived, with many npc dialogues talking about the next zone in 11.1 patch and for my surprise it’s not underground…

Spoilers: It will be another island with a huge crystal. Many people are speculating to be the top side of Beledar. Also looks like it will have an Arathi airship base.

Also, months ago they datamined icons refering to an “Etherial Raid”, so possible 11.2 patch will not be underground too.

Nah. Revendreth is still the best modern zone.

Only if they make swimming more interesting, cause right now, it’s not so special. But yeah, Vasj’ir is one of the best looking zones to date and it’s what? 15 years ago?

I’m okay with under ground zones. Better than under the water zones. Hallowfall has since been my fav. It’s got dark shadowy areas, but isn’t overkill.

Yeah hallowfall is prob the best zone made since Stormpeaks imo

Beledar is 7 miles long.

It is going to have a proper Zone-sized Cave.
