Or, sometimes I can be wrong. Akston hit it on the head.
Ok well that makes more sense I didnât know it was just a chance to get them. I got insomnia havenât slept in a few days was super frustrated cause I couldnât figure it out. Thank you for the clarification thatâs all I wanted lol instead of being told to goto wowhead.com since thatâs literally their response to every ticket Iâve ever made lol.
But⊠you see why, right? Your issue was solved by the WoWHead comments / guide. Blizzard doesnât provide âgameplay assistance,â which is what you needed. There was no bug, or anything wrong on their end. They donât tell people how to complete quests.
Back in the day, there were 900 numbers for this. Today, we have WoWHead.
Therefore, the CS rep was correct, and you were wrong to assume they were being lame or unhelpful. Remember that next time you put in a ticket.
Ya Iâm used to EQ support where what you guys told me they would of told me.
Well, regardless of what EQ customer service does, Blizzard support staff have never helped with gameplay issues unless a bug that theyâre capable of doing something about is involved. This is how Blizzard has always operated and for good reason. Can you imagine how many more tickets they would get if they acted like the old Nintendo game guides and walked you through things?
That literally has nothing to do with what this post was about.
As for the OP, itâs there. I had the quest âBattle for Gilneasâ bug out on me (canât believe this is still happening) and I was able to put in a ticket and a GM came in and moved my character forward.
The reason so many ticket attempts are redirected to 3rd party resources is that they are asking for game hints.
The intent in WoW is for players to explore, discover and figure things out on their own/with each other. Thus, Support doesnât exist to explain how to play the game. In those cases, players are directed to other resources so that they can research and solve their issue.
Oh, and to all you types bent on blame shifting all of WoWâs problems to Activision, at least get your story straight. What you mean is Major League Gaming.
They fired all those employees a while ago
Their customer service is absolutely worthless, even if you submit a ticket they will not help you.
it can be literally years between the next emote. stop putting in tickets that clog the system.
If you go through their website you can get a chat very quickly.
Blizzard is looking to cut down on support staff as evident by their asking over 100 to leave in the EU. Their focus is to use the money saved by cutting down on support personal to hire more development staff so itâs something weâre going to have to get used to.
Not just EU.
This is rude. They are providing feedback on the support they received. There is nothing wrong with that. This is separate from the issue of actually trying to get their problem resolved. Feel free to help them with that, but do not admonish them for voicing their concerns over the in-game support system.
Thatâs not been my experience.
Any ticket Iâve submitted has been resolved in the time frame given. but then, Iâm not submitting tickets for in game issues I can find answers for on wow head or the forums.
Their customer service has always been great. No, the gms donât chat as much in game as they used to, but that doesnât mean issues go unresolved on my experience
Well, when thereâs 50 players per server, sure.
And thatâs why it sent you to Wowhead. If you actually went there to read, instead of ranting, youâd see where it had the information posted that Akston quoted for you.
Blizz has never and will never give you information on how to do quests or hidden stuff.
WaitâŠreally?!
You are upset that a GM isnt helping you unlock your hidden weapon appearance?!
And this folks, is why it takes 2 days to close a ticket
A lot of people try to submit tickets for things they shouldnât, or for things that can quickly be resolved on their own without needing a GM.
Thatâs why it tries to run through those options first and if youâve exhausted those it will let you go ahead with the ticket.
Cuts the wait time down tremendously.
My favorite two tickets were when I needed help with an issue on my account and was sent to wowhead both times. Itâs a shame that many tickets arenât even read anymore, they are just given an automated response and sent on their way.
You canât possibly think that Blizzard has as good of customer support as they used to, even with millions upon millions less players that we have now.
