No more one year subscription?

Hi there,

I was about to renew my subscription but I noticed that it no longer has a one year option or even a 6 month subscription. Instead, the only options are 3 months or monthly. It goes without saying that it costs more for either option than if I go for half yearly or yearly one.

It’s also disappointing to see how confusing the product page is.

The title for it is “World of warcraft - 6-month offer” but there isn’t any 6-month option. Even worse still, the description blurb on that page talks about a 12 month subscription but the option isn’t there either.

To add insult to injury, your email invitation to come back to WOW CATEGORICALLY states a “12 month subscription” and even touts it as the “best per month savings” (in bolded words, no less). You even helpfully provided a hyperlink in that email to said “12 month subscription”…only for it to have none at all. Are you trying to tease me?

What gives?

So is the yearly subscription still available or not?

Currently on a 12mo and went to look. Also seeing only 3mo and 1mo in the shop, strangely. What region are you? Mine is Canada.

I’m from south east asia. Makes me wonder if they have now restricted it to the US alone and the rest of the world is getting the short end of the stick.

That is definitely odd, I’m on US and see the 12 and 6 month subs

If you’re trying it with a mobile device, switch to a desktop and check again. I’m in Canada and on mobile it only showed 1mth and 3mth, but on my desktop it shows the 12mth.

Strangely, no 6mth is showing :dracthyr_shrug:

I was already viewing it on my desktop.

I think there is something funky going on on blizz’s end. Now I see the 12/6 months options back on the page but when I try to access them, they give me errors.

Ueah I just had my US friend check and she sees all four too bo matter where she looks - tried all three. Looks regional?

Edit: Nevermind…

Looks like the page is being updated so it might take a bit of time to propagate.

Let’s give it about an hour and try again.

Thank you for the quick assist.

I’m from southeast asia, but playing on a “US region account” since SEA region isn’t a thing for WOW in terms of servers.

Since my first post, I can now see the 12 and 6 months options back on the subscription page. The 12 months option now leads to the payment page but the 6 month option still results in an error. The error page has a link at the bottom that leads to a blank blizz support page.

Unfortunately, my account isn’t able to post the link for some reason. Error code is BLZWEBBMPZ8474

I see it now from Canada. Currently on a sub so didn’t purchase, but could get up to the confirm payment method page.

For those having an issue with the page give it an hour or so, if you are still seeing an issue with those options please let me know and I’ll poke the folks working on this.
