Up until this week, there was a “Help” option in the Esc menu, and in there was an option to teleport to the nearest graveyard if you were stuck and didn’t have a hearthstone (or it was on cooldown). With the removal of the Help menu, is this character unstuck option no longer available? Or is it located somewhere else?
Alright so in game you can Hit escape, then support, them the wow logo hat says in game issues, right side character problem, scroll down to character stuck, and option three is the self service character unstuck.
Edit: actually you can just scroll down after clicking support and it has the self service option. I just didn’t scroll that far when I went to check

Huh, interesting. I do see the option but only sometimes. I just opened the Support page, and the self service section isn’t showing. Can’t seem to figure the pattern for when it shows and when it doesn’t.
This is really annoying. Why can’t they have just kept this option in-game instead of via this weird (and apparently buggy) website-in-the-game support page? Ugh.

Well that’s all well and good, but the execution of the service is much different now. It appears to essentially open a ticket and requires you to be offline for it to do anything. Before, it would just be a couple clicks via a game interface (not the slow, website type interface that it is now), and it would pop up a 10 second cast bar, then hearth you or kill you so you could spawn to a graveyard. Much quicker and easier than what they’ve changed it to. Oh well.

The really ridiculous part is sending us to Westfall. Really?? I get stuck in Nazjatar, NAZJATAR, and they send me to friggin westfall!!! What was wrong with teleporting to the nearest graveyard? I really wonder sometimes if BLIZZARD gives a crap at all about what the players want. As if it hasn’t been obvious all along that they absolutely do not.

Because Westfall is the default spot to send Alliance players when the game cannot find the correct location for you.
On the flip side, Stonetalon Mountains is the default spot for Horde players.
I personally have seen it happen when there is a connection issue during load screens OR the world server goes down and the game cannot put you back at your current location.
They are not trying to make it difficult for us to continue playing, quite the opposite. By having default locations already established, the game does its best to get you back playing as quickly as it can. Usually it tries to send you to your hearth location, but if that is not possible, then you go to the default spot.

Because when the character gets stuck, it’s sometimes in a location that the system can’t load. Moving across zones/continents is often the only way to resolve the issue as a short move to the nearest graveyard doesn’t work.

I got stuck in a bit of rocks in the Maw. I had to port to Westfall just because the option to teleport me a few dozen yards to a graveyard was taken out because in some niche cases it doesn’t work. Why not allow players to choose from either option?
EDIT: I finally managed to aggro a mob and died and got ported to a graveyard… lo and behold it worked fine.

Because the goal is to port you to a known safe location. For the Horde, that’s Westfall. If the issue is zone-wide, moving a few yards wouldn’t solve it, the self-help option would be on cooldown, and you’d be stuck waiting three or four days for your ticket to be addressed.
As would any of your hearthstones.

I was trying to avoid having to port out of the Maw in the middle of the intro. That’s what the unstuck button always used to be for.

The Unstuck button that is (was?) accessed via the Help menu in-game was always just a port to wherever your hearthstone was set. It even triggered the hearthstone’s cooldown.

Only if you had a hearthstone in your bags at the time. Otherwise it killed you and sent you to the nearest graveyard.

What Kyzera said. If you hearth was not in your bags or was on CD, it would port you to the graveyard.

How long were you dead its been 24 hours and they havent gotten me unstuck

The Stuck character service is automated, there isn’t a “they” exactly.
What is happening in your case, Bull? Are you unable to log into the character itself? What message do you get when you use the stuck character service?
If the issue persists and the automated option doesn’t seem to work I’d recommend submitting a ticket.
