What if i invite you to my group and we wipe a bunch, but we slowly progress on bosses. lol would you even want to come to my group? But, for funsies, what about this: would you leaving my group gatekeep me from possibly succeeding?
Oh, would it be gatekeeping if i didn’t invite two tanks?
what if four more applied? Is that gatekeeping?
I’m not that good at the game, so, in some twist of irony, not getting invited to my group might actually be good for some folks. I am doing them a favor: saving them from me.
Does not really matter what others class it as. In the end, you get to choose who you
do, or dont, want to group with. They can complain about it all they want.
It does not change your right to choose.
Anyone who gets upset at being declined for a key just needs to make their own.
Not in a generic “you can’t get declined from your own key teehee” sense (but also not 100% NOT that) but simply because you just need to see how many DPS are applying for every key worth applying to.
I regularly play with a Tank and/or Healer so I’ll see the queue with 20+ DPS applying for ONE spot. Simple math dictates that most are gunna be disappointed.
I stand on the math side of it. If I got 20+ DPS applying for one spot I don’t see any point feeling bad about being picky and taking the best possible applicant I can get instead of settling for a player who on paper could contribute but would be a significantly riskier choice.
