No matter how good 8.2 is Classic hype will drown it out

Nazjatar isn’t the Timeless Isle encore. I forget the name but it’s the new mech zone.

People get “hyped” about a lot of things. Whenever I hear the word “hype” I think “No Man’s Sky”.

Talk to me in December.

I laughed at an earlier thread, guy was complaining about not getting an upgrade for logging in for a half hour and doing world quests. It’s those people and more that are spoiled/entitled with live that won’t last very long in classic. But most people are like that now and the mentality has changed since vanilla and the new player base is way different than when it was back then.

Mechagon isn’t as bad but it still isn’t any timeless isle in terms of ease of movement.

I’m not sure yet. I need to be in it to know.

This is a weird premise to make a case on. Can both not be popular at the same time? I know i will be bouncing back and forth till 8.2 gets old

In a dark comedy way it’s kind of funny seeing the two sides getting all worked up over this. Almost makes me think that Blizzard should look into if the Russians are behind creating all this social media grief on both bides. When it comes down to it just play what you like whether it be BfA or Classic.

Hype is just that: hype. Once the non-nostalgic, non-veterans play it, they are in for a terrible, terrible “treat.”

If classic is true to its roots, people will complain it is too slow within 2 days.

Don’t believe the nostalgia.

Nothing new. When each expansion is several months or about a year old, people come out of the woodwork and start crying about how it now sucks. Been happening since BC. Only difference is, the hipsters and “classic” AKA: Vanilla 2.0. It will wear off, and Blizz makes profits, either way.

Honestly, I would have just assumed it would have been November 2019. The anniversary of WOW Vanilla release date.

people too lazy

It’s probably a good idea to time it like this. People from Classic will likely try 8.2 and if the patch is good they may stay.

“Oh no, a bunch of people are giving us money for our product” -Blizzard probably

I’ve been with Wow since open beta outside a few minor breaks in Cata and the end of WoD. The game is by far in the worst state it has ever been in as it currently stands. Classic is not perfect, but it does offer a lot of the RPG elements and commitment to a character and customization that is currently lacking.

i dont like what they did with specs, i dont think they feel bad to play just lack customization that the 31 point talent trees offered, not looking foward to the new Netherlight Crucible thing, and also if i dont play for a month or 7 i can just use the catch up mechanics to be geared in a week LOL

Customization? No. Current has way more customization, mostly because of transmog. If you mean talent wise, i don’t consider the ability to make a non-viable build as “customization”. Gameplay wise classic was horrible. At the very least we now have rotations. In classic it was an auto attack fest.

Well the thing that bothers me with 8.2 is that they are bringing flying back. In my mind they did the same with Legion. I did it once for Legion already, and it was not too bad. BUT they repeated it all over again for BFA. Why did they wait for the end of BFA to bring in flying? They should have just let us have flying once we received the exploring BFA achievement. I think if people had flying after exploring the new world, this would have helped keep people interested in the game more than anything.

Old content is old i highly doubt that.
