If MoHs had been given out for accomplishing objectives beyond the win condition, that would have added a lot more depth to everything between the entry caves and the enemy generals. It would have (had they done it that way) allowed people to come in and play it for as long as they desired, make progress, and not be beholden to the win condition.
You win by achieving the battleground objectives so I don’t see any problem here.
you realize the queue would be dead if they did this right?
That’s what i have been trying to explain. People play the BG that rewards them the most
No, it wouldn’t. Especially with them insisting on CRBGs.
it would, av will be lucky to have better 30 min queues anyway
Yep, absolutely correct and I agree totally. I’m still betting we have a lot of people who don’t know this and want to farm HKs.
Then play a different BG. AV holds 4 times the numbers of the other BGs and takes longer to complete, it stands to reason that it would have a longer queue time.
Sad but true. I hope I meet those people in AB and WSG so I can just beat them in 5-10 minutes every game though. Or if they are on my faction that they just clump in mid or the BS, keeping the enemy bogged down, and let me run flags or cap points while they crow about how many kills they have on the scoreboard.
Wanting long drawn out AV matches is an absurd expectation even if marks of honor were removed. Over the years the WoW player base has obviously gotten better at the game so the games are going to be over more quickly anyways. Thinking the removal of marks will lengthen match times is very foolish.
Old AV was best, had WSG and AB for quicker matches. Having all three be quick makes all BGs a bit boring, was nice having one that didn’t feel like it was go,go, go and was just an all out war.
Maybe next year classic wow will get old school av as an event.
once the queue goes that long there is a very good chance that the teams will be short handed when it does finally start. ive noticed this from years of playing
30 mins is way too long for most normal people, trust me your idea would ruin it unless you like 25 vs 40 matches that take forever to get into
and dont worry i will be playing something else
A bit of a contradiction there. If people are queued for it, how could teams end up short handed?
I too played it for years, on MalGanis. We had at least 1 AV going 24/7, but the queue was long. It was rare that when your queue popped it was at the start of a fresh run. More often it was a spot opening up for an in progress game.
Do not try to tell me that with servers this large and the insistence on crbgs, that teams would be “short handed”. That is absurd.
Because people leave the queue and go to other BGs instead of standing around IF/Org? Use some critical thinking skills.
They would, if we get 72 hour AVs again. People still stop queueing or will try and dodge the one that’s been going on for 2 days, instead hoping for a new one, a different BG, or doing something else entirely.
No, sorry, if (they will) allowed to queue for multiple BGs, people are not going to “leave” the AV queue. They will simply run the smaller BGs until AV pops. Teams would not end up “short handed” because there will always be people waiting to get into AV.
With CRBGs there will always be a pool of people playing and waiting to play AV. Regardless of the version. No sympathy for people that finally get into one and cry because it is one that has been “going on for 2 days” (which was a thing, but not common).
Even before CRBGs on MalGanis (one of the worst bloated and faction imbalanced realms) AVs were CONSTANTLY running and there were always people in queue waiting to get in. Perhaps it was because there were no FAST AVs before the nerfs happened. You took what you could get. Your fear mongering nonsense does not jive with what actually occurred during vanilla, both early and late AV version.
CRBG’s are not a fool proof protection against queue issues with a BG.
Good thing I never saw BG queues as an issue, even prior to CRBGs then, isn’t it? I would be more than willing for them to not utilize CRBGs. Perhaps then the stacked factions would be incentivized to transfer.
You can’t caring about something that others do doesn’t make a non legitimate issue.
Did you just have a stroke?
edit (if I understand that word salad correctly), I very much can view it as a “non legit” issue.
