If only people got this concept
When I play Counter Strike, I know the main objective is the bomb. Alot of times I will win by AVOIDING enemy players.
You’re the guy who always says “lets rush them!”
Eyup.
OP, what marks of honor are you talking about? The old AV tokens you needed to get stuff? Or the current version?
The ones during vanilla turned in for honor quests. Once they changed to being needed for specific pieces of gear (forcing people to run BGs they may not like) it was even worse. Neither, IMHO, were beneficial to AV due to how honor (and rep) were available in the early version via the objectives spread across the map. It added unnecessary weight to the end, which in turn caused outcry that the games needed to be shorter. Not because that made the BG better, but because they wanted quicker MoHs.
If they allow multiple queues then people won’t take AV because they will already be in another BG. Unless they are looking to bail on a loss, I suppose.
No, multiple day AVs were extraordinarily common. That was the norm on ED for a long, long time.
Good god stop with your projecting. The only fear mongering going on here is from you. You created this entire thread to fear monger about how Marks would “ruin” AV for everyone. Stop being so disingenuous.
Translation (that isn’t hard to figure out by the way):
You not caring about something that others do doesn’t make it a non-legit issue.
See above. Just because you don’t view it as a legitimate issue doesn’t mean that’s it’s not. It just means that you don’t think it is. Very clear difference there, and most of it is in the fact that you aren’t the center of the WoW universe.
That’s not what happened at all. People just realized, and managed to have the gear/ability to manage it, that they could rush the end and get more honor than they would if they sat in the middle and fought in a blob for 8 hours. People changed how they fought in AV because of game play changes and because they wanted more honor for the Rank 14 grind, not because of Marks being added and people wanting to spend them.
Dude, are you new to this game? People bailed on WSG and AB when AV popped for them, not the other way around.
I am convinced you never actually played vanilla, and if you did you did not play AV. Multi-day AVs were not at all common. They were merely memorable when they did happen.
I explained quite clearly what they do/did once they were implemented. This is a request and discussion, not fear mongering.
Right, quite, it clearly had zero impact, by virtue of you posting that it didn’t. What other magical powers do you possess?
Can’t wait till bonus honor weekend in AV…woooo
Dude, are you? I played BGs for 8 hours plus per day and people almost never bailed for AV. It only happened when they needed the rep and, later on when it was rushed, when it was an AV weekend for extra honor. What kind of fantasy world are you living in?
So I disagree with you and I’m discounted, got it. You’re not interested in an actual conversation or discussion but just in telling people on the forum what you, in your infinite wisdom, have decided is best for Classic. Get over yourself.
That’s been his whole shtick for the last two years. Look at his thread creation history, just QQ thread after QQ thread created to bait people into arguments.
No, what you did was make an absurd claim. What exactly is your definition of “extraordinarily common”?
Judging by his last reply to me, completely agreed. What a waste of time.
