As you may or may not know the original Burning Crusade had an LFG Tool which (at the time) wasn’t widely used. However, it was still a key system of TBC and it hasn’t been seen on TBCC as of yet.
We’ve had some info during BlizzConline saying that it may be having some small updates to modernize it.
There were also some GlobalStrings found in early Beta pertaining to the system also.
I’m just curious if this system will be added to Burning Crusade Classic at any point?
The fact that they have not implemented the original TBC group finder tool makes me think they’re considering skipping right over it and implementing a modern group finder.
They cant use that one simply because they are not the same clients. TBC uses the retail client so they cant just copy/paste it in.
As a compromise just use the addon that was recently spotlighted on wowhead https://tbc.wowhead.com/news/addon-spotlight-simplify-lookingforgroup-channel-with-lfg-bulletin-322731
Talent system was removed in MoP and from my understanding retail uses the same client (or is engine the right term) since Cata, so yes, talents, ranks, (retail still has 60% flying?) were “still” in the game.
This would be amazing to have imo. Shuffling between LFG which is spammy as hell, and local which misses tons of applicable people (like how I’m in Zangarmarsh and still have the BF quest). The tool accomplishes same goal much more effectively.
i hope they dont, that by adding this already makes it one step closer to retail which is why classic was created in the first place. stop making the game long automated POS. classic was about talking with the community
Considering how little it was used, I wouldn’t call it a key system. Definitely grounds for using the updated group finder (with same server limitations of course).
Doesn’t matter if you don’t want it. It’s a main feature of TBC and should be in. There’s obviously a demand for it because popular add-ons exist that do it in a less polished way due to add-on limitations.
