its more like a Section of Warcraft.
All the content prior to the newest expansion becomes irrelevant.
Wouldn’t things work out better if it was all linked together?
Say that piece of Fel Cloth could be used to make some kind of battle flag.
Or get a piece of cobalt ore to infuse armor with a blue hue.
No, that would probably just make the game a convoluted mess with them constantly having to re-balance old stuff. They have a hard enough time as it is with only current content.
I’ve done it. It’s irrelevant. It’s not a choice for me.
The OP is arguing that past content should be updated to work more with current content so there is overall more to do in more places. Just because some people haven’t done their Loremaster yet doesn’t make it a bad idea.
Professions in particular could benefit from this, considering how they’ve been gutted in BfA.
Consider impact of gameplay and economy if you could go to low level zones to farm mats for high level items. I’m not saying it’s impossible to work out, but that would have a significant impact no matter how you handle it.
For me personally, Professions are a minor thing. While I welcome the idea of getting more “older Materials” into the mix-- it’s not a pressing thing. Doing this won’t “save” BfA professions.
What they should do is add new patterns and such into the older expansions that get either Cosmetic, Mog, or new green/blue sets for leveling.
Huh? It has been this way since January 2007 when Burning Crusade was released. All content prior to that was made irrelevant. It happens with every expansion release.
Strictly speaking, I love Felcloth. It has one of my favorite graphic designs in the game and anytime I can obtain it I always hoard it away. Someday I’m going to commission a Felcloth bedspread.
I know, it’s sad. I guess, I’ve never been one to keep up with them. I’m still farming stuff from Old content. I’ve never been reliant on them through an expac because I’m always behind.
But I understand how they can be for players that are trying to use them while they are relevant and reliant on them.
