No Live Chat/Callback Option

My last post got locked before I could even respond. Please do not argue under this post with unrelated information :frowning_face:

My boyfriend’s account is currently locked and he cannot post on the forums so I will be helping him. My boyfriend has been contacting customer support for the past few days with no help. He needs to make a payment before he can sub back to WoW to which customer support says needs to happen over live chat. Customer support keeps telling my boyfriend to check for the live chat option the next day because it is closed for today. The only option that shows up on this link (sent to him by customer support ) is web ticket, live chat is not an option at all (not greyed out, just not there at all). He has been waking up early everyday as soon as customer service opens to try and get into live chat but there is no live chat option showing up. He sends in a ticket saying it closed again and all he keeps getting is “try again tomorrow”. All he wants to do is pay and start playing again.

Can anyone help? How can he contact live chat if it is not showing up/closed everyday? :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Update: Someone suggested a callback. He opened the ticket again and they responded with “unfortunately callback hasn’t been an option for some time now”.

Sorry, in support of your issue I kinda hijacked your last one. Did you try and tweet https://twitter.com/BlizzardCS ? It’s a long shot, but sometimes they will help when you are not getting help where you are supposed to.

Most of the relevant information was in the last post. There probably is no specific callback option, and live chat was closed today. Hopefully live chat will be open tomorrow.

The twitter account isn’t a means to get a hold of callback or live chat as that’s manned by folks whom run the CS forum. The blues here have no means to give someone a callback time or have them get into live chat.

He needs to be specific that the Live Chat option is not comin gup for them. I know that Vrakthris has passed along info about Live Chat not ever showing up as available for some (like myself) even when it’s showing as available to others.

Personally, I’ve tried new browsers, clearing cache/cookies/etc., different devices, different connections (not just my usual internet, but cell access) with no luck whatsoever. It’s stumped me for some time now. My gut says that it’s a location thing (I’m in Canada) and wonder if there’s some logistic there that causes the option to never show as available.

So I definitely feel for your boyfriend and hope that they can get their issue resolved soon!

How often do you see them up? The live chat option?

He has been very specific about the live chat option not showing up with every ticket he has submitted but it’s the same “try again tomorrow” response :frowning_face:

Typically the hours are daily starting about 5 am Pacific time - but that can change, and there may be days it isn’t available.

Is it normal for ONLY the web ticket option to show up when live chat is offline, or should the live chat option still appear but just be grayed out?

Yes. If it’s not available - the option won’t show at all.

Okay thanks. Also i noticed you told someone else to request a callback a few days ago in a different post but he was told the callback feature doesn’t exist anymore, does it really not exist now?

I’m gonna have to check on that - far as I know it still does.

Rarely used, and only for certain issues - perhaps that is why they’d have gotten that answer.

Yeah, you’ll probably need live chat for that, indeed.

I haven’t been told if they’ll open it tomorrow, but hopefully. It was down this weekend, and today.

Friday, I think. For the last two years it was unfortunately very sporadic due to work from home. The last few months, however, it’s been much more regular and with more hours.

He just received a ticket that states “I’m unable to comment on why our web chat doesn’t seem to be working as I can assure you we are receiving players there”. Everything else he has received has told him that the live chat option was not available/closed at that time.

It’s open this morning.

The live chat feature is available for me but it is greyed out/unavailable for him.
