I really hope they keep LFD.
Hmm… conflicted feelings. On one hand, I fully agree with the OP, but on the other it is Tuuln.
I’ll remain suspicious… It could be that his account was hacked, or… something… Could be a trap.
I could get behind that - I don’t want to queue with people from LA realms. I’m not racist or anything, just that I have had far more negative experiences with players from those realms than good ones. Either they lag out, they have no idea how to play, or they simply AFK. Language barrier means that we can’t communicate.
Let the LFD tool pick from your realm alone.
That being said, different time, different mentality for most players. We went from a player base that wants to form communities and wants to put in the time building our characters to the “I want it now!” mentality.
The people complaining are the retail players who are going to be raid logging tourists at best.
There are far more people who don’t play the game currently who played in WoTLK and if they were to come back they wouldn’t care if LFG/LFR was missing. They should clearly just have the players vote on it well into the launch.
I would be amazed that people would vote yes for it but then again, Blizzard would have their answer right there and then as to whether they roll out Cata or start up Classic+ is some form.
As someone who played starting in vanilla and peaked at wrath, I would disagree. I really liked the LFD tool when it was added in and do care that they are wanting to leave it out.
A vote would be good, but if most want it back then add it back into wrath. It wouldn’t be a “classic+” type of thing because it existed back in the real wrath expansion. Leaving it out is a “classic+” type of thing as you are changing what the game was actually like.
#nochanges
if they do add it in then start creating content for the classic crowd it would defeat the purpose of having a Classic and having a retail version of the game if it’s just going to devolve into exactly what it set out to be an alternative too.
There are many players who played originally who have fundamental disagreements with the foundational changes menu queing systems create in an MMO.
I agree - some people don’t like the LFD tool or where it leads to. Like you said - have a vote and see what the majority want.
blizzard lost a lot of players over this decision im one of them and they lost a lot of boost money there is no point to buy a boost in a dead raid log game by phase 2.
seeing as virtually every MMO added the LFG option after it was launched in WOW I can honestly tell, you are absolutely wrong. sorry if it cuts in to your boost and gdkp runs… it is virtually the only reason I see to object it
Quick question, what’s “LFD”? I looked it up, there is an LFD furniture store and there’s the Lincoln Fire Department. In gaming there is Login Failure Daemon.
Any help on this one?
