They’ve been screaming about this forever. “Welfare epics” ring a bell? They’ll never be happy until they’re given their own “unachievable to anyone else” gear.
Because to them, we are not “worthy” of playing “their” game.
LFR gives purple veteran gear. It isn’t that at all. Champion ilvl = normal raid.
Delves giving veteran from the end chests and champion in vault seems more in-line currently with the difficulty. They could also tune Delves better so if you want Champion in chests you have to say 9’s or 10’s and to get a max vault you need to do the max tier which is a +11.
But people also need to stop complaining if their skill can’t push them to the highest reward. Or if they find it too hard, stop a level they are comfortable in. Again I didn’t do a key higher then a +7 this season for KSM. I had no reason to a Delve over an 8 because I don’t care about achievements, only rewards.
Nobody is saying the Delve system is bad or shouldn’t be a progression path, just needs to be more smoother transition wise and more in tune with the effort to reward ratio.
Delves have they issue they removed M+ levels for, a +3 delve and a +4 Delve have like no difficulty change really. There’s no sense of progressing through the tiers of Delves. You just go right to 8’s. And that feels off.
With the way you constantly complain about them it sure seems like you are.
Like I said, I ran a lot of Delves. They had pros and cons. The concept I liked. The fact it made other content like M+ feel not worth doing I did not like. The fact they sorta just slap you into a wall without reason to push to the end(tier 8 vs tier 11) I didn’t like. I did a +9 once on my warlock just to check it out, didn’t feel harder then an 8. Never bothered to try a 10.
I also don’t like that you can just go back and blast through them. Like my 619ilvl I am pretty sure I could do 11’s. I might before end of season, but the fact you can just wait stuff out then go back and cheese it just doesn’t feel like the challenge even matters. The fact you don’t have to stick to 1 type of content to progress/work through it. I am sure Mythic raiders and high M+ keyers easily get the achievement for Zekvir ? ?
If it’s cannibalizing the rest of pve content as you claim, then instead of nerfing rewards these devs should be asking what makes delves that much more popular and incorporate as much of that as possible into other areas. However they can’t be bothered t do that but are absolutely determined they’re going to try and push everyone into m+ despite it being an absolute dumpster fire. Nerfing delves isn’t going to magically make people want to do m+ or other stuff. All it’s going to do is make people extend a salute with a certain finger as they cancel their subs. Pardon my French with that analogy but you get the idea. They really need to stop trying to balance everything around m+ and the 1% of sweatlords that actually try to push that junk hardcore. That’s their stat and not mine for the record.
You can also blame guilds. A friend of mine who raids Mythic said he was basically required to do 8 Delves a week for vault on top of 8 keys a week for vault. Again solved if gear didn’t cross-over into other content.
I asked him how his guild would even know if he “met his weekly requirements” he said they have to have some addon installed which reports it to his guild. Insanity to me, and why I don’t raid Mythic lol
who said they are nerfing rewards
Its not just about gear.
Delves offer an opportunity unlike most other content in the game in this facet also: Learning how to play your class in a controlled environment against things that actually have the potential to kill you if you’re not on your game.
Missed interrupts, missed cleanses, things like that will wipe you out quickly in the 11’s. Some 8’s can be this way also if you’re new to them. For those who already know mechanics sure, its not bad. But for those learning it would be a decent experience to learn those skills without harming other players while you do(ie. stress-free in that regard)
But for a learning curve and an idea to implement it, I think it was a good method to do it.
As for the rewards, the real grief is with the vault not with the actual loot drops. Those are sporadic(Champion gear isn’t exactly Mythic gear), and outside of Bountiful chests(and Zek’vir spawn in your Delve) where are the real gains?
Edit: Why he’s comparing it to Mythic+ baffles me. This is suppose to be an avenue on the other side of that spectra.
There are people who do both, sounds like you’re making up excuses.
Delves can still have there own gear path without competing with M+ gear.
People in delves can just have worse gear. What’s the problem? As long as it’s good enough to beat the content what does it matter?
Glad you feel that way.
Theyve got the numbers and data so they dont have to rely on anonplayer#87549 feelycrafting
I sure hope people are up in arms that we’re not above character ilvl 1000 right now.
If you’re not fixated on the ilvl number in your character panel, then, whatever delves drop shouldn’t be of consequence as long as it’s still higher than world quest stuff.
And people at the top, don’t care about delves really, one or two week annoyances at best, it’s the people stuck at keys below 7.
Delves do not need gear to work.
If your argument is that gear doesn’t matter, let’s assume Blizzard had TWW S1 drop stuff weaker than DF S1, do you think you would still do the content? Nothing else changes, mind you.
And if gear does matter, why do you care about skipping the first seven levels of m+ which, I assume, you have no interest in.
Everything Ion touches or say doesn’t make sense .He should retired or be retired. In the past he has been known as a liar by players
Honestly yea. Just let people acquire gear through the methods that they want to. Anyone mad that people can solo and get gear is just a hateful moron really. I should not be required to do group content of any kind just to do anything in a video game, doesn’t matter if this is an MMO or not, requiring anything from anyone in a game is about as antifun as it gets.
You need to turn the computer on. You need to actually play.
Don’t need to do that for idle games… well, I guess you need to check in at some point…
The computer is on. I just don’t want to play with you or anyone else but still want to enjoy the game and its world and progress at my pace, not your idea of what my pace should be. Hopefully one day Blizzard just fully listens so the rest of us can enjoy our time spent away from the rest of you guys.
But your progress doesn’t matter as long as you are stronger. If it’s the absolute ilvl number, please complain that we haven’t gone above ilvl 1000 yet.
You’re seriously going to argue you play for the ilvl number next to your character panel, and nothing else?
That’s not what he said.
This wouldn’t solve the problems with M+ and would probably make them worse.
The only way Delve rewards get ruined is if they lower the ilvl on rewards, which I don’t see why they reasonably would do this since the rewards are already heavily time gated.
The solution seems to be giving secondary or tertiary rewards in M+ which can impact player power, but aren’t simply ilvl related. These could be a means to augment gear, at least beyond the upgrade-ilvl system that currently exists.
Why do you care about ilvl?
That’s the entire point of the discussion.
