I know to Alliance players, this is just “1 piece of free heroic gear, get over it” but as a Horde player who has had War mode on from the beginning of the expansion because I enjoy PvP’ing, this is the biggest slap in the face ever. First they punished us for liking and participating in Warmode, but now they aren’t going to make things right and give us a free heroic piece? This goes way beyond “just play the game, the gear will be outdated in a month anyways hurhurrr” , it feels like blizzard is literally pis*ing in my mouth and telling me to enjoy it and that there is nothing they can do about it.
I thought the 30% XP and Azerite was incentive enough for Alliance to join warmode, and I didn’t really complain about the ilvl 370 they were getting because it was outdated that late in a raid tier, but giving the entire Alliance population a free ilvl 400 piece and then telling Horde that they won’t receive it? It feels like they don’t even care about they players anymore
Oh please like that pitiful 30% bonus means anything when we had to deal with raid groups at every flight path and world quest. You like it when warmode heavily favors you due to population imbalance.
Good lord am I glad I stopped playing Horde, would have never guessed it was so full of babies after all those years of hearing how Horde players are so much more mature than Alliance players.
Horde weren’t going to get the quest because we won’t be the underrepresented faction to begin with. Griping over something you were never going to have is pointless.
How the heck are you being punished? One side is getting a bonus for being underrepresented, that’s not a punishment for the horde in any way. Nothing is being taken from you.
Hmm, well that’s just a “too bad” from Blizz I guess, sort of like when Horde didn’t have a 320 item level requirement to do Warfronts at the start of BfA but Alliance did.
To be honest I am surprised they are going this route but I will say that not nearly as many people pitched a fit when the Warfront was giving Heroic Uldir-level gear (370). It’s as if 400 is a magically powerful number that sent people into a craze, when really, it is just the same Heroic-level gear scaled up to the new item levels.
Maybe you guys should have complained about it sooner.
And we shouldn’t feel at all bad anymore. If anything this shows the alliance have the ability to fight back but are willfully choosing not to until the reward is good enough. Hard to pity those that won’t help themselves
I’m glad they are lowering it, as I said in other threads it was a mistake to add heroic tier gear for free this early in a patch.
You seem to forget they are trying to get people to play Alliance. They need to fix the faction imbalance caused by superior Horde racials and they know adding a ton of OP racials to Alliance would cause too much backlash. As we can see casual Horde players are crying over the free gear (when it was at 370 trash tier.) imagine if it was a real imbalance.
In voldun yesterday alliance had raids of 30 at every single flightpath. I was kind of glad I logged on my alliance first I just avoided the area on my horde toons.
