No housing

I really thought it would happen. I’m dumb. (and sad) …really want to find one “be everything mmo”…this is the one thing WoW is missing for me…the only thing. sigh.

Good.

Player housing is dumb.

Maybe one day in the future it will have player housing or something like it :people_hugging:

If player housing is dumb, where will I live? I don’t want to sleep by a fire like a poor night elf!

Careful what you wish for. The last time players demanded player housing, we got garrisons.

And garrisons actually had a lot to do.

What will you do in a house? Read a book? Sit on the couch? Poke your fire with a stick?

No housing in WoW is an ancient meme at this point.

You’re gonna be homeless in Capital City X, and you’re gonna like it.

a homeless hero/champion etc. …yep. I’m that. “Gonna like it”…? not really. sad…let down…waited through the long yawn fest wow stuff from blizzcon? yes. I did that. I’m sure all the “housing haters” loved this but…ugh…those of us that wanted a new element to the game are bummed. (I’ll allow your hate…please allow me my disappointment)

I love you.

Yes we did, and I’m gonna post this link again for those unaware what happened when we got garrisons!

There we go.

Homeless?

You’re the champion of Azeroth. You can throw a mattress down in Varian’s bedroom if you want. Drink all his beer, watch his HBO, and borrow his concubines.

Why do you need a shack in the middle of Westfall?

Every inn has a place to lay down, even the horsie inns in the Onahrran plains have comfy fur piles.

I’m not a Tauren!

“Hey you! What are you doing here?! Get out before we stick you!”
“What the? I own this place! Where is George the captain of the gaurd?”
“Grandpa George? He died years ago… Just how long have you been away?”

/me looks at hooves, tail and horns

Maybe in one of the 2 future expansions when we go back to the surface.

We probably won’t hear about it until 2025 Blizzcon at the earliest

That’s the problem they put it on AU Draenor no if they put it on Azeroth where it can be an alternate hearth like the Vulpera Camp and had stuff for additional storage like chests , like eso and D3/4 have people probably would use

Come visit my gnome home in Ironforge! It’s the empty one on the inside southeast. I invited an orc over and he had beans before so maybe don’t come yet, it takes a while to get stank out of anywhere in Ironforge.

You haven’t done much housing in games I’m guessing? (or had interest?) That’s totally cool if you’re not into it.

Housing people look for a best spot…build the best place and then craft/buy/collect/decorate the best places they can. A place to show off…a place to escape to at the end of the night…friends along? Maybe…if you want them to. Garrisons let you follow the quest and build the exact stuff everyone else did…get your mine/gardens etc. There was no challenge or difference between anyone: You just completed the quests/missions/etc that everyone else did. Housing lets you make your place…and if you’re really great at it…people will come check it out (much like people come to check out your rare mount or other uber thing you’ve done in game as you sit in your capitol city) Housing though…you can make it unique and actually …decorate. And now…I’ve realized I’ve given into forum troll-ness. ugh. sorry.

They probably haven’t figured out how to get a decorating system to work with the old engine.

Collect furniture from our adventures, display relics we’ve unearthed with archaeology, hire staff to take care of certain things while we’re away (a butler who will get your mail and sell you basic items, a zookeeper to manage our pets and mounts, etc.), invite quest NPCs to visit us and share lore, challenge our friends to minigames (checkers, chess, dominoes), it’d be a portal to a lot of potentially great features actually. But WoW is focused on “combat combat combat” (which it always has been, but it could be much more)
